What is it made of/from? 2) 能够用英语描述及询问物品的制作材料,正确理解被动语态的用法及句子结构。2. 情感态度价值观目标:了解一些日常用品的制成材料,增加生活常识,养成良好的生活习惯。二、教学重难点1. 教学重点:1) 掌握本课时中出现的生词2) 能够用英语描述及询问物品的制作材料3)正确理解被动语态的用法及句子结构。2. 教学难点:理解被动语态的用法及句子结构。三、教学过程. Warming up 1. Listen to a song and guess what the song is about.2. Show a piece of one-hundred yuan to Ss and say “Money is made of paper”. Then ask Ss to think about what other things are made of paper in our daily life.3. Show some pictures of shirts and ask “What are the shirts made of?”II. Presentation1. Show some pictures on the big screen. Try to learn “be made of” structure. e.g.: Her blouse is made of cotton. The table is made of glass. The chopsticks are made of wood.2. Work on 1a.Let Ss read the things and materials in 1a. Discuss with their partners and match them with the materials. More than one answer is possible. Check the answers with the Ss.3. Anylyse the differences among “be made of”,“be made from”,“be made in”e.g.: Is this bowl of salad made of fruits? Yes ,it is. Its made of fruits. Button is made from milk.Gold medal was made in China.4.Listening Ss try to listen and match the things with the material and here they were made. Play the recording twice. Then check the answer. Pair work1. show the sample conversation on the big screen. e.g.: What is the chair made of ?It is made of Where was it made ?It was made in2. Ss try to made conversations using the pictures. . Language points be made of与be made from 辨析两词组都是“由制成的”之意。be made of 指从原料到制成品只发生了形状变化,没有发生本质变化(属物理变化)be made from指从原料到制成品发生了质的变化,已无法复原(属化学变化)。 e.g. Glass is made of glass. 玻璃杯是由玻璃制成的。 The paper is made from wood. 纸是木头做的。2. be made in表示“在制造”,后接表示地点或时间的词语。e.g. The washing machine was made in Qingdao.The car was made
