Be a good observer in the classroom （7）Good morning , Everyone ! Im from Yu Cai Primary School . My name is Miao Xiuming .I am very glad to stand here to give you a speech. As we know , as China develops, English became a bridge to leap over the world. Especially in the primary school, The parents paid more attention to the kids English.Then how to make the English class more funny and effective? I think, observation in the classroom will be one of the important ways to investigate and improve the class. so today my topic is “Be a good observer in the classroom”.We know : Classroom without observation the children would lost their interest in English as usual. Classroom without observation Creation and improvment would not exit. Through observation,you would know the problems that in the classroom and do some changes.Through observation,you would know if the students were all intereted in your class and how can make the class more interesting.I remembered that once in an English class.when I taught my students to learn the family members. I took out the pictures of Mikes family and let students guess who they were? I thought the children would be interested in this step. But no one raised their hands. I found that why the children lost their interest because they had previewed the text. Go on teaching or change the teaching plan?I decided to introduce my family members and let the children to introduce the kids family members instead. The children would be the object. This change has immeditely aroused the childrens interest. Be a good observer , you must observe them at any moment in the classroom. Especially to the poor students . Of course, to observe the students faces is an important step. If they look excited and active, they must be fond of the class. But if they look blank and dull, they may be unwilling to have the class. I had a student called Luo Xin. In the past, he was afraid of English and failed in talking in a group. When he talked English with others ,he would feel nervous. He always kept silent in class. I observed that a lot of students were interested in the topic. But Luo Xin was still there and kept silent.They said that Luo Xin was unable to speak English. From his face,I discovered that actually he would like to speak. So I talked to him with some simply sentences and told him : take it easy, dont be nervous, just try. At first, he was still unwilling to open his mouth. If he answered well,I would praise him at once. Gradually,he had a little confidence.I always tell him:“Luo Xin,well done! I believe you!Youre the best!” Since then he changed .He began to enjoy talking. With the other students and my help, he became more confident. Now he finds its easy to talk . He has more confidence in English. He doesnt feel nervous in class no longer. He succeeds .Im very happy to see his growth Observation is the best teacher. Finally I would like to say, if you like the occupation of teacher, like to being with children and like to be liked by them. Pay more attition to those kids. Observe what they need and give t
