Unit6 Im watching TV Section A (1a- 2d)1、 Teaching material analysisThis lesson is adopted from Unit6 Im watching TV, Section A(1a-2d), PEP edition. It is a Aural- oral lesson. It is mainly focus on the topic of everyday activities. Such a topic is very interesting and its easy to arouse students (ss) learning interest.2、 Teaching aims1. Knowledge objects: (1) Students can read and write the new words: Eat/ wash/ read /watch/ drink/ make newspaper/ movie/ soup (2) Master the following sentences: What are you / they doing ? Im / Were/ Theyre watching TV. What is she/ he doing? She/ he is cleaning.2. Ability aim: Students can express the actions with the Present Continuous Tense.3. Emotional aim: Students can learn to cooperate with the their team members.三、Teaching key points1. Master the new words and sentence structure2.Can talk about everyday activities with the Present Continuous Tense.四、Teaching difficult pointsHave a basic understanding about the usages of the Present Continuous Tense, especially whose structure bedoing.5、 Teaching method and studying method.Situational teaching method, Task-based teaching method, and cooperative learning method.6、 Teaching aids:Tape recorder, multimedia, chalks; 7、 Teaching proceduresStep one:lets say “Hi” Teacher and students greet each other politely. Step two: lets play 1. Whos the winner! Show the rules on big screen: (A group of pictures will be showed on big screen, but they will dis pear quickly. You should remember the actions as many as possible. At last, lets see who is the best ) Teacher says, “Are you ready? Lets go! ” Then teacher shows these pictures. Check the answers 2. Lead -in new lesson (Teacher prepares some new verbal phrases in the game, so that teacher can use them to lead in the new lesson after arousing students curiosity) T: Do you know how to express these actions in English? (T points to the pictures) Ss: . T: Ok, lets learn together!Step three: lets learn (This noon, when I came back home, I saw my family were very busy. What are they doing? Lets have a look!) 1. New words Teacher shows some pictures and asks students to guess the meanings of new words. T: what is she/he doing? Ss: She/he is reading a newspaper. Teacher teaches the pronunciation of the word and use it to make sentences. work on 1a. And check the answers. lets try. do vs doing. 2. Sentence structures (lets continue the topic. After sitting on the chair, I asked them like this:) -what are you doing? -Im reading a newspaper. -what is she/he doing? -She/he is watching TV. -what are they doing? -They are talking on the phone. (Each question corresponds to several exercises ) 3. Listening (1) (You will hear three groups of conversations. And then finish the tasks in the following.) First listening. What are these people doing? Write the numbers from 1a (1b). Second listening. Check the answers. 4. Pair work. Ask and answers questions about what people doing in 1a. You can use the following sentence structures. -what are you doing? -Im reading a newspaper. -what is she/he doing? -She/he is watching TV. -what are they doing? -They are talking on the phone. 5. Listening (2) (you will hear a group of conversation. After listening, you should finish the task in 2a and 2b.) . Work on 2a.Listen and match the answers with the questions. . Work on 2b.
