Unit 5 My Pet Lesson 25 说课稿Good morning, everyone. Im Luo Hairong, from Lanzhou, Gansu Province. Im happy to be here to share my lesson with you. My topic is Unit 5 My Pet Lesson 25 in Book 5 of New Start line English.Now Ill talk about my lesson from six parts: Teaching BackgroundTeaching Aims Key points and difficult pointsTeaching and studying methodsTeaching ProcedureAssessment and Blackboard designPart 1 Teaching BackgroundAnalysis of teaching materialThe topic in this Unit is about My pet . Lesson 25 is the first lesson . From this lesson, the students will learn how to describethe pet. Therefore this lesson is an important portion of the teaching material. It has the essential role.Analysis of studentsThe Ss in Grade three are active and curious, interested in all new things. They have some basic English background knowledge. So the teacher should communicate with them, provide them the chance of using language.Part 2 Teaching aimsOverall objectives and specific requirements based on the English curriculum standards proposed,and combined with my understanding of the teaching material, Im sure this lesson teaching aims are the following:Aims on the knowledge1. to enable the Ss understand and speak these new words: pet, parrot, turtle, chicken, goldfish, smart. 2. to enable the Ss can use the sentence pattern What pet do you have? I have a Whats its name? Its name is 3. to enable the Ss can transcribe word on four-wire grid normatively.Aims on the abilities1. to develop Ss abilities of listening , speaking, reading and writing .2. Ss can talk about pets using the language that they have learned.Aims on the emotionSs know that animals are our friends and they have the awareness of protecting animals.Part 3 Key points and difficult points (I think the key points in the lesson are)1. Ss understand and speak the new words in this lesson.2. Ss can ask and answer the questions: What pet do you have? Whats its name?Difficult pointSs can talk about pets using the language that they have learned.Part 4 Teaching and learning methodsIn order to stress the key points and break through the difficult points, I will use these teaching methods:Situational teaching method; Task-based teaching method; intuitive teaching method, Competition teaching method. And let Ss study English in the situation and practice by activities. At the same time, I will use the modern electricity teaching equipents to help Ss to learn English. Part 5 Teaching procedures and purpose of my designing(In order to achieve the teaching aims gradually, I design the following teaching process.)Step 1 Warming-up and Revision (It will cost about 2minutes.)Hello, boys and girls. Nice to meet you. How are you? Are you happy? Lets sing the song with actions together.Brief greetings make closer to the distance between teachers and students. The cheerful songs create a relaxed and happy English learning atmosphere .It also review the sentence patternI haveStep 2 Presentation and Practice (It will cost about 15 minutes.)I show two pictures of Cafield and Odie, ask them their names And tell them that Cafield and Odie are the pets of John. Then I lead in the new Lesson.I divide Ss into two groups and let them have a competition_which group can get more pets for your pet shop.)Purpose: In this step I Use the cartoons to make a situation for Ss to understand the meaning of new word pet and lead in the new lesson. It can make the students have the interesting. Competition between two groups makes Ss more excited and happy to participate in activities. With the help of the PPT, I set a situation of going to the pet shop to have a look. I present the new words and sentences in the situation, which relates to the Ss real life experiences, to help the Ss understand the language easily and naturally. After presenting new words by guessing games, such as looking at one part of the picture to guess; listening to the sound, riddles and so on. I teach the new words using Natural phonics. It can facilitate the Ss abilities to pronounce the words, and help them to remember the spelling of the words. In order to make Ss remember the words, I design two gamesBomb game and Whats missing game. AfterThrough different activities of asking and answering, saying a chant which made by the teacher to practice the sentences pattern. All the input has laid a good groundwork for students language output. Step 3 Consolidation and produce(It will cost about )Activity 1 Text teaching First, Ss listen to the text with three questions and answer them. Second they listen and repeat the text .Then role to read. Finally, describing Andys pet.Purpose;(此环节,学生的听说能力由对话形式向小语篇过渡提升。为下一步宠物秀更进一步做好语言铺垫。)In this step, it improve Ss ability from the form of dialogue to discourse practiceSs can use the language from asking- answering to discourse competence. It can improve Ss listening, speaking , reading and cooperative abilities.Activity 2 TaskPet showing(播放视频)In this step, students will have a language show about pets. It can make them get the happy feeling of harvest. It also can make them have the confidence and interesting in studying English. It is the most important for Ss and for the English teachers.Please watch the Video.Activity 3 WritingCopy the wordsI give out the pager like this(课件出示抄写题单).First let them listen and number the words, After checking the answer, then Ss copy the words. Step 4 Summary and HomeworkAt the end of the lesson, I will summarize the classroom assessment and guide the Ss to understand animals are our friends, we should love and protect them.
