(1c)Read Wang Ming and Annas conversation, then discuss the questions with your partner.Anna: How does the story begin?Wang Ming: Once upon a time(从前), there was an old man, Yu Gong. There were two mountains near his house. They were so high and big that it took a long time to walk to the other side(山的另一边). Anna: What happened next?Wang Ming: Yu Gong told his family that they should help him to move the mountains. But his wife disagreed. She said, “An old man cant move a small tree. The mountains are so high and big.”Anna: Where would they put the earth and stone from the mountains?Wang Ming: Yu Gong said they could put it into the sea. So they all started digging the next day. 5.
