Warming-up and Lead-in1. play the sound of “wind”, “rain”, and “sunny”.2.T: Do you know the sound? Ss: Yes.T: What kind of sound do you hear?Ss: “wind” , “rain” ,“sunny” . T: Yes. Today we will learn Unit 7. Its raining.Step 2. Presentation1. Show some pictures about “sun, cloud, wind, rain, and snow”, “sunny, cloudy, windy, raining and snowy. Ask a student to teach the new word.2. Then conclude the new words.3.learn to change “n.+?adj”.- n.+yadj.4.Pairwork: A: Hows the weather ? /Whats the weather like ? B: Its _ Ask and answer the conversations in pairs.Step 3 Play a song: Hows the weather. 1. Let Ss try to find the answers to the two questions. Q1: How many kinds of weather are there in the song?Q2: What are they?2. Sing the song together and try to consolidate the sentence structure.Step 4 Finish 1a1. Read the words in 1a and ask students to match the words with the pictures.2. Check the answers.Step 5. Listening and Create a situation to finish 1b.1. Before listening: show some pictures to learn the names of the following cities: Beijing, Moscow, Toronto, Boston and Shanghai.2.
