Unit 3 How do you get to school?一教学目标1.语言知识目标:1)能掌握以下单词:train,bus,subway,ride,bike,sixty,seventy,eighty,ninety,hundred,far,minute,kilometer,new,every,everyday2)能掌握以下句型:Howdoyougettoschool?Iridemybike.HowdoesMarygettoschool?Shetakesthesubway.Talkabouthowtogettoplaces(谈论出行方式) takethebus/subway/train/taxi,rideabike/walk. 3).how引导的特殊疑问句,表示乘坐何种交通工具的方式。howfar,howlong引导的特殊疑问句。4).复习基数词及时间的表示方法。2.方法与策略:对话、调查和小组合作3.情感态度价值观目标:让学生感受到他们学习英语是为了在现实生活中进行交流,而不单纯是为了英语课和应付考试而学习,了解东西方国家出行方式的不同,以及不同的交通规则,教育学生注意交通安全,加深对交通知识的了解。倡导自觉遵守交通法规及礼貌,构建和谐的人际关系。了解交通的发展,培养创新精神。二重点难点important and difficult points :1. how /how far /how long 引导的特殊疑问句.2.乘坐交通工具的表示方法.3.It takes /will take/took sb some time to do sth .三教学准备teaching aids: tape recorder, a projector or a computer四教学课时teaching period:one periods.五教学过程teaching procedures :the first periodstep 1 questions revision1.Duty report.2.t: Where is she going? How far is it?Ss : Because my home is far from school. (If the student doesnt know the distance, tell him/her. Usually they use more than one mean of transportation, help him or her to use first, next, then,).t: How long does it take you from home to school?(设计意图:提出与学生实际密切联系的问题复习交通方式和用时,同时引入新知识点How far?How long?问句,并通过计算交通用时渗透数学计算。 体会父辈辛劳, 惜时,用功学习)step 4 Listening practice. 1.Look at the picture(show the picture below on the computer)2.Teach the new words and expressions:how far/kilometer/shower/quick/bicycle/station/early /leave forlook at the picture, find out the students who are going to school. There are some transportations in the picture and ask students to recognize them very well.3. Listen to the tape and find out the ways of those students to school and then check the answers.4. Ask several students to try to give their answers and then finish the exercise about the conversations.(设计意图: 这一部分涉及许多生词和短语, 新的问句 how far is it ? 也在此部分出现。因此这部分是本节课的重点和难点。用幻灯片进行教学方便、省时、形象, 便于新知识的呈现与内化。 这也是为下一步的教学作铺垫。)Step4 A game1.let the students read the useful expressions for the conversations.2.Play the game”Bomb”,if the students choose the number ,they should answer the given questions.The more they answer, the better score they can get.3. Give the students the results.(设计意图:用游戏来巩固新学的知识。)step 5 A survey1.Give the students an example to ask a partner some questions about his ways to different places.2.Students give out the survey result group by group.(设计意图:进一步巩固三种用how提出的问句和it takes sb. 并讨论怎样出行是环保科学的。)step 6 homework1. Do a survey at home and write a result about it .2. Prepare to talk about your family members how to get to school or work, how far is it, how long does it take ?板书设计blackboard design:Unit3 How do you get to school ?How does he get to school ?How long does it take ?It takes about 10 minutes.How far is it?Its 5 kilometers.六教学反思:一本单元主要语言项目为谈论交通方式,交通用时及距离。本课时内容在复习交通方式、交通用时的基础上,提出新的语言项目:how far - ? 问句。 本课时中 activity 3a 是重点内容,拟用powerpoint 课件进行新语言项目的呈现和巩固。activity 3b 和activity 4 部分主要是对前面知识的训练和巩固,以小组活动为主要形式进行操练,教师循堂给于适当指导。二为使教学内容具体化、形象化,同时提高教学效率,拟用powerpoint 课件进行教学。教学中二
