Difficult points1) How to use the conditional sentences with if correctly.2) How to express conditional with if and talk about consequences with will。 Teaching procedure1. Warming- up and revision 2. Talking: Lets look at the pictures and let Ss make sentences with “ifwill” . e.g. If you go to the party with Karen and Anna, youll have a good time.One by one, let some Ss make sentences by themselves. 3. Game: Ask Ss “If you have a lot of time, what will you do?” Ss think and tell the class what they will do. Judge who is the best. . Grammar Focus1.Read the sentences in Grammar Focus ,then fill in the banks . 2. Close the book and look at the screen , fill in the blanks.3. Check the answers. Try to Find (Summary) 一、Conditional sentences with if. 1. Conditional sentences with if. The main clause should use simple future tense, while the subordinate clause should use simple present tense .e.g :We will go to the park if it _ _ (not rain) tomorrow.2.Conditional sentences with if, if the main clauses with must,can,may and so on,the subordinate clause should use . e.g. You must stop if the traffic light _(be) red. 3. Conditional sentences with if,if the main clause is an imperative sentence ,the subordinate clause should use . e.g : Dont wait for me if I_(be) late.Practice: Put up your hands if you _ (have) any questions. If it_ (be) cold tomorrow, I will wear my sweater. He can go home if he _ (finish) his homework. Practice Work on 3a: 1. Ss skim the passage first. Try to know the meaning of the passage. Then Ss read the passage carefully again and try to fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the verbs in the brackets. 2. Method guidance know; do think; go; will be; tells; have; wear; will look; go; how to +do walk; will take; take; will be;3. Read the passage again. Make sure that the students understand the target language.Work on 3b: 1. Have the students read the conditional and the consequence.2. Talk about the possible result or the conditional according to the situation.3.Check the answers. Group work (chain story)1. Make a story in group. 2. Write a story with your group on a piece of paper. The first person begins the story with “I think I will.” The others add sentences with “if”, Pass the paper around twice. Then read the story. 3. Make sure Ss know what to do. 4. Each student writes a sentence like this “I think I will If I, I will”then put the sentences together and make up a story.Finally , find out which groups story is the best. Homework 1.
