Teaching Methods: Listening method; Pair work; Oral practice. Teaching Aids: Tape player;All in one; Teaching Procedures: Step1 Greeting: Greet the whole class as usual. Step2 Lead-in: By asking hows the weather today?/whats the weather like today?lead-in new lesson.Step3. Presentation Let student look at all in one to look at pictures and study words about weather. 2 Brainstorm, say the words about weather. rainy windy cloudy snowy sunny 3. Read the key words for several times. Step4 Ask and answer: Talk about the weather: 1. Show some pictures of different weather and learn some words through them. 2. Read it together. 2 Check the answer of listening. 3 Ask two students to work as a weather reporter. Give them the beginning: It is raining in Toronto. Step7 Revision of the present progressive tense. Review some activities they have learned and learn some new words through pictures. (1)Whats he/she doing? She is making soup. (2)What is he doing? He is playing computer games. (3)What is she doing? She is watching TV. Step8 Pair work 1. Make the dialogue using the picture. 2. Ask students to work in pairs to talk about the weather and the people in the picture.
