Warming-up by checking the guiding study case1. Divide the class into 9 groups. Draw a simple chart on the blackboard to add the points that each group gets, tell the students that each time they answer questions right, they can get one or more points for their group ,at the end of the class, the group which gets more bubbles will be the winner today. And they will get less homework or no homework. 2. Get the group leader to check the answers to the guiding study case, then get students to discuss. Get the volunteers to share the answers of their group. the students who reports the answers well will earn a point for the group.教学步骤及主要内容II. Presentation3. Teacher says: Today we shall take up Unit 7 “How much are these pants?” Do you like shopping? I like shopping too. Look at the cloth store and tell me what are they? Get the students to answer, “Pants, T-shirt, shoes, sweaters, skirts.”4. Get students to read the words after the teacher, and then get them to finish 1a. Get student to match the words with the pictures. The students who answer correctly will earn a point for the group.III. Listening drills (1)5. Play a memory game to get students to remember the words better, and then finish the listening practice. Circle the words they hear. The students who answer correctly will earn a point for the group.IV. Pair-work.6. On the screen show question: “How much is ? / How much are?”Underline “is/are”, tell the students pay attention to the none.Show the answers to the questions: “Its/ Theyre”7. Then get students to work in pairs, practice the conversations with the partners.8. Have some students show their own conversation, then make a comment on it (praise the students first) and give1-2 points to their group.V. cooperation and communication 9. get students to cooperate with the members in their group.
