Page26.3.Explanation:1).宾语从句的否定转移主句的谓语动词是think,believe,suppose等,并且主句的主语是第一人称而且为一般现在时,从句的否定词一般要转移到主句上来,其反义疑问句一般与宾语从句一致。 I dont thinkhe will eto myparty.而不能说成I thinkhe wont eto myparty.我认为他不会来我的舞会.I dont believethat manis killedby Jim,is he?我认为那个人不是Jim所杀的,是不是?2).引导宾语从句的that在下列情况下一般不省略a.宾语从句前有插入语。 如We hope,onthecontrary,that he will stayat homewith us.恰恰相反,我们希望他和我们呆在家里。 b.有间接宾语时。 如He toldme thathe wasleaving forJapan.他告诉我他要去日本。 c.that在与之并列的另一个宾语从句之后。 如He said(that)the bookwas veryinteresting andthat(不省略)allthechildren liketo read it.他说那本书很有趣,所有小孩都喜欢读。 d.在“it(形式宾语)+补语”之后时。 如I thinkit not连用时,往往用whether(ifor not也可以使用)。 如Let meknow whetherif hewill eor not(Let meknow whetheror nothewill e)让我知道他是否能来。 I wonderwhether westay orwhether wego我不知道我们是去还是留。 在介词之后用whether。 如Im interestedin whetherhe likesEnglish我关心的是他是否喜欢英语。 在不定式前用whether。 如He hasnt decidedwhether tovisit theold man他尚未决定是否拜访那位老人。 whether置于句首时,不能换用if。 如Whether thisistrueor not,I cant say这是否真的我说不上来。 引导主语从句和表语从句时宜用whether。
