Im going to be an engineer. How are you going to do that? Im going to study math hard.(3) Structure: be going to do something.2 Ability Objects:Students will be able to talk about future intentions using the target language.3 Moral Objects:Help students to learn to talk about future intentions and make a plan for the future.Teaching Key Points: Be going to structureTeaching Difficult Points: Learn how to talk about future intentions.Teaching Methods: Scene teaching method; Task-based teaching method.Teaching Aids: CAITeaching Procedures:Step1 Warming up Good morning, boys and girls. Nice to meet you. First, Id like to tell you something about myself. You see, Im a teacher, my husband is a policeman and my brother is an engineer. We do different kinds of jobs. Do you want to know more about them? Step2 Lead-inT: Lets enjoy a song, Be what you wanna be. In this song youll hear some words about jobs. If you hear them, please write them down.T: Have you heard any words about jobs? (Policeman, singer, postman, actor, doctor) Step3 Teach the new words.1 Guessing Game: What does he/she do?Show different pictures about jobs quickly, ask students to identify the jobs.2 New words: basketball player, pilot, engineer, computer programmer,Step4 Presentation.1 (1a) Make a survey: Which job do you think is the most interesting?” Rank them please.1 is the most interesting and 6 is the least interesting.Check their answers and find out the most interesting job in the students eyes.2 Pair work: What do you want to be when you grow up? What are you going to be when you grow up? Why? Lets talk about our dream jobs. You can begin it like this:A: What are you going to be when you grow up? B Im going to be a (an) A: Why? B: Because I think Students work in pairs. Then invite some pairs to act out their conversations.3 Listen to the story and answer my questions: Mr Going to doI have a friend, he has a strange name, we call him Mr. Going to do. Mr. Going to do is very friendly, but he is very lazy. He always says: “Im going to do something”, but he never does. His room is very dirty, he will say: “Im going to clean it tomorrow.” Guess: What is Mr. Going to do always saying?1. Im thirsty. Im going to drink some water. 2. Im hungry. 3. Im not feeling well.4. Im a little heavy.5. Tomorrow is my mothers birthday. 6. My English is not good. 7. I like music very much.
