It is close to students daily life. Students will be interested in it.Teaching aims:1. Knowledge Objects(1) Function: Talk about how to make a banana milk shake.(2) Key Vocabulary: shake, milk shake, blender, turn on, peel, pour(3) Target Language: A: How do you make a banana milk shake?B: First, peel three bananas. Then cut up the bananas. Next, put the bananas and ice-cream in the blender. Then pour the milk into the blender. Next, turn on the blender. Finally, pour the milk shake into a glass and drink it.(4) Structure: how question2. Ability ObjectsImprove students listening and speaking skills.3. Moral Objects Making something with our own hands and share them with others. We can get happiness and success from it. Teaching Key Points1. Learn the key words and the target language in this period.2. Learn to describe a process and follow instructions. Teaching Methods and aids1. Listening method, Speaking method, Group work.2. A computer for multimedia use ,Three bananas, a blender, a knife, some milk, some ice-cream, some glasses. Teaching AidsStep1. Greet the class as usual.Step2. Lead-in: Enjoy a song and find the fruit you hear.What is your favorite fruit? What is your favorite drink?Show a picture of a banana milk shake.Do you know how to make banana milk shake?Today were going to learn how to make a banana milk shake. (show a slide-unit 8)Step3. Presentation1.Show some pictures and teach the new words. milk shake, blender, turn on, peel, pour, yogurt, honey, watermelon, spoon.2. Ask Ss to write the names of the actions on the blanks. Check the answers.3.1b Play the recording twice. Number the instructions from 1 to 6. Correct the answers. Get the students to read the instructions in the right order.Then listen again and fill in the blanks.After that ,play a game to review the instructions.Step4: 1c Pair work: First show the slide, say the steps of making a banana milk shake together, then work in pairs. Ask some students to say the steps according to the pictures.Step5: Listening1. 2a. Listen to the tape and fill in the chart. Check the answers. Show the slide about “how many and how much”.2. 2b Before listening, show the slide about countable and uncountable nouns . Listen again, fill in the chart.
