Teaching plan Module8 unit5 warming up,pre-reading and reading PeriodII Reading教材分析本单元是选修八的第五单元,主要是关于考古学知识通过warming up 中“周口店遗址的北京猿人”“早期人类生活方式”的讨论,帮助学生增长考古知识。学生分析学生通过学过的历史知识对这一话题比较熟悉,而且也比较感兴趣,有利于课堂的进展。教学三维目标:Knowledge aims: 1. Understand the general idea of the new text to train the reading ability of the students 2 . Understand and use language points freely3.learn something about archaeologyAbility aims:1.enable students to improve their reading ability. 2.develop the studentsability to get special information .Emotional aim::To learn how to protect cultural relicsTeaching important and difficult points: 1. Train their abilities of understanding 2. Use some important language points. 3.learn something about archaeplogyTeaching tools A projector and some normal teaching tools Teaching methods:1 task-based teaching and learning2. cooperative learning (students alone, students make a thorough enquiry toghter, teacher work toghter with students.) Teaching procedures:task 1. Warming up(students work toghter.)1. In pairs, try to identify some objects.2. Discuss what they may be made of and explain their use.3. Task 6 Home workRewrite the passage after class教学反思这是一节校内公开课,我选择了选修八第五单元,这一单元是基于学生对考古学的兴趣,另外高三学生通过历史课的学习基本都了解了人类的发展史,以及人类的早期生活方式,这对我的教学起到了很好的帮助。本节课中,首先我通过warming up 展示了关于古代类人猿的图片 ,由于学生在历史课本中学过相关知识,他们基本可以正确回答我设置的问题,这样 在某种程度上极大地调动了学生学习的兴趣和积极性,并且进行了了大量的信息输入,为后面的阅读做好铺。在阅读过程中,我通过三次阅读让学生把握课文。首先,skimming 让学生找出课文中出现的物品,是略读过程,然后通过scanning 让学生把握文章三大话题,最后通过careful reading 理解细节,这样便让学生更好地了解早期人类的生活方式,增长考古学知识让学生体验人类文明发展的过程,同时激发学生对考古学的兴趣。 这样通过三次阅读让学生从整体到细节理解进行了很好的训练, 并且对课文有了透彻的理解。这一环节,基本达到我预期目标,最后一个任务是语言输出训练,让学生重述课文内容,学生做得比较理想。在这一节课中,我基本完成了预期的教学目标,但是从整体看,我在步骤的衔接上不是很自然。在今后的教学中我会更好地要求自己,通过培训和学习 让自己的专业技能更加成熟。课堂实录T: Now ,class begins ! Good afternoon class!Ss: Good afternoon teacher!T:Ok ,sit down please .Today were going to learn Unit 5 Meeting Your Ancestors. Now tell me “Do you know anything about Archeology?”Ss: Yes ,its a science.T: Yes ,its the study of ancent civilizations by scientific analysis of physical remains found in the ground.Now you should also know “Archeologist ,the person who study Archeology and its adj form “Archeological” .now read after me.Ss: Archeology ! Archeologist ! Archeological ! T:Good .Tell me “What is an archeologist supposed to do ?”we can look at some pictures (Show some pictures)Ss: In picture 1 some people are excavating. And in picture 2 some people are collecting something useful while in picture 3 theyre identifing and analyzing.So an archeologist has to excavat, collect , identify and analyz.T: very good ,you have done a very good job.Now we have some objects ,you can identify them ,discuss what they were made of and explain their use.you also have to think of the alternatives we would use today.OK?( Show some pictures)(3 minutes later)T: What about the first object? Who can tell us?SA Its a lamp to light houses and its made of clay . the alternatives we use today is electric light.T(to all the students): yes or right ?Ss: right!T: W to all the students): yes or right ?hat about the second object ?Any volunter?SB: Its a piece of music instrument . the alternatives we use today is piano or violin.T( to all the students): right or wrong? Ss: right!T: now how about the third object?SC: Its a stone tool.Maybe its used to cut things.T: very good ,so you have done a good jod.Thank you very much! Now were going to read a passage about a visit to the Zhoukouo dian Caves .First before our reading ,look at some pictures.What is the pictures about?Ss: something about PekingMan !T: yes ,now you have five minutes ti read throurh the passage and try to find “what objects are mentioned in the text?”(five minutes later)T:Have you finished the text?Ok ,tell me what objects are mentioned in the text. you can pick them out through the picture,Ss: Caves 、fire 、needle 、clothes、 necklace !T:Excellent !a good job!Now another task.This time you are going to read the passgae more carefully and find the three topics that the archaeologist talked about(seven minutes later)T: ok ,time is up .
