To grasp the past progressive tense教学思路:本课的教学内容是人教版八年级英语下册第五单元的第一课时,通过讲述自己的经历,激发学生的兴趣,学会运用过去进行时态,任务以听说为主,重点是过去进行时的学习和运用,情感目标定为培养学生学习英语的积极性和兴趣,并体会生活中如何用英语来交流。教学准备:multimedia dlackboard tape-recorder教学过程设计;Step 1. Lead-in 1. Lead-in by showing some pictures about what the people are doing .,Ask the students to answer ,Then change the present time into past time . Try to let the students answer ,Then think over what the difference is between “what are you doing “and “ whhat were you doing ?” so that the teacher can explain the past progressive tense .Try to practice with some other pictures .设计意图:把现在进行时和过去进行时进行对比,先让学生自己比较异同 ,然后教师点出不同点,让学生豁然开朗,引出过去进行时态。2.教师用课本中的主题图通过提问引导学生看图说话,教师可以参考以下问题进行提问 Look at the picture ,where was she ? and so on .3. 学生按照1a要求完成句子与场景的配对,有了前面的铺垫,学生应该可以很轻松地完成这项活动,只需核对答案即可。Step2 Listening 1. Listen to the TV reporter and circle the correct responses in 1a ,完整地播放录音,不停顿,让学生整体感受并准确地捕捉自己需要的信息,这是学生第一次正式开始学习过去进行时,因此1b听力活动是培养学生捕捉主要信息的能力。2. Check the students answers .Step 3 Practice Talk about what the people were doing at the time of the rainstorm .A ; What was the girl doing at the time of the rainstorm ?B ; She was -Step 4 Listening 1. Listen and number the pictures in 2a, 听前让学生先预测一下图的顺序,然后播放听力核对答案。2. Listen again , Fill in the blanks in the sentences for each picture in 2a 3. Check the students answers 设计意图:本部分的内容重在培养学生们听大意和听细节信息的能力,所以先帮助学生听出每个对话的大意,再去完成后面对应的细节题。Step 5 Pair work 这是一个基于听力内容的语言输出活动,目的是用过去进行时和一般过去时复述过去发生的事情,把时间、地点、先后顺序和因果关系交代清楚,让学生角色扮演,适当编出记者的提问,利用听力独白中的句子进行对话就可以了。教师可以先让学生两人一组练习,再鼓励学生在全班进行展示。Step 6 Role-play the conversation 1. Listen to tape about the conversation and answer the question “ Who helped Mary at last ?”2 . Go over the conversation in 2d, and deal with the difficulties in groups, If you have any questions,discuss them in the group ,the teacher goes through the classroom and offers help if necessary .3. Read aloud the conversation in pairs, Act out their conversation in groups , then in class.Step 7. Language pointsStep 8.
