Unit3 How do you get to school? SectionB (2a2c)Reading教学设计 一Teaching aims1. knowledge aims:1) vocabulary: cross, bridge, river, boat, village, villager, between, between and , like, true, come true, leave, afraid, year, many, ropeway.2) Sentences: Its easy for many students to get to school.2. Ability aims:Train students reading skills and enable them to get the information they need in the passage.3. Emotional aims: Life is precious. We should cherish the good life now. Learn to help others! Study hard,then well have more oppotunity to help the students in some poor villages in the future.Be ready to hand out the friendly hands to help them build the bridge to dream.Our Chinese dreamll come true.二. Teaching important and difficult points1. Help students to master the new words, some phrases and some important sentences.2. Train the students reading and retelling skills三Teaching methods:1. Independent study: The new words and useful phrases.2. Cooperation study: Disscuss in groups3. Situational teaching method.4. Task-based Language Teaching四Teaching aids: Multimdia, a video and so on 五Teaching procedures:Step 1: Warming up T: Today is fine,so I walk to school instead of taking a bus.Do you get to school by bike or by car? Do you walk to school or take a bus?How do you get to school? How does he/she get to school? How do the students around the world get to school? Many kinds of transportation.so for many students,its easy to get to school.设计意图:展示不同的交通方式让学生了解世界各地的学生是采用何种交通方式上学的,既复习巩固本单元的句型, 又为2b的学习打好基础,做好铺垫。 T: How about them? Look at the picture,Is it easyfor them to get to school?Predict what we will read about according to the picture and the title设计意图:通过浏览相关图片和文章标题,激发学生的学习兴趣,并引导学生预测阅读内容。同是,也运用了之前学过的阅读策略:The title and the picture can be helpful for you to understand a text.Step 2: Pre-readingWatchsomepicturesaboutthe small village,talkabouttheirwaysto school.T:How do they get to school? Ss: Go on a ropeway.T: Do you still think it is easy to get to school? Ss: No.T: What do you think of this kind of transportation?Ss: Its very dangerous.T: Why do they choose so dangerous transport? The teacher helps the students answer like this:There is no bridge between their school and the village.The river is very big. And the river runs too quickly for boats.设计意图:利用图片、情境教学新词,直观性强,创设了语言的学习环境,更利于学生的理解和巩固。Step 3: While-readingTask 1: Fast reading.Get students toscanthetextRead the passage quickly and answer the question.Whats the main idea of the article ?设计意图:意在引导学生速读课文,通过回答问题来实现对课文的整体感知。因为学生要回答这个问题,必须运用略读的技巧捕捉有用的信息,进而获取文章的大意。Task 2: Careful reading.Read the passage carefully and silently to find the specific ideas.Read Para.1 and answer the question.How do the students in the village go to school?They go on a ropeway to cross the river to go to school. 2. Why do they go to school like this?There is a big river. There is no bridge, and the river runs too quickly for boats.Read Para.2 and answer the questions.How old is he? He is 11 years oldDoes he love his school? Why?Yes,he does. Because he loves to play with his classmates he loves his teacher. his teacher is like his father to him.Read Para.3 and answer the questions.What is the villagers(村民) dream? Its their dream to have a bridge.5.Do you think their dream can come true?Play a video to let the students know more about the passage, disscuss the questions in groups, then tell their different ideas out.设计意图:分段阅读缩短了文章的长度,便于学生及时找到段中具体信息,同时对文本也是深一步的理解。教师用问答、感悟探究、视频等不同形式检查阅读效果。另外针对阅读中容易出现理解干扰的词和句子进行有目的的练习,适当地降低了阅读的难度,激发了学生的参与热情。Step4 EmotionaleducationT: Life is precious. Task one: Listen and read aloud(1)Listen to the tape. Complete the sentences with the words from the passage.(2) Ask Ss to read the passage aloud and fiuently设计意图: 播放录音,纠正学生的语音错误, 多次阅读,不仅可以使学生加深对文章的理解,而且还可以在大声朗读课文中培养学生的语感2. Task two: RetellLet Ss retell the passage according to the mind-map by using their own words.设计意图: 鼓励学生用自己的语言看思维导图复述,让他们体会成功的喜悦;让学生在了解文章的基础上,锻炼他们的思维能力、口头表达能力。3. Task three: Talk show timeAccording to the text,two students work in pairs,one acts Liangliang,the other one acts a reporter from TV,make a talk.设计意图:此活动任务设计将话题进行适当延伸,并紧紧围绕教学内容,贴近学生生活实际,具有时代感和开放性,丰富了教学内容和教学形式,拓宽了学生学习渠道,学生个性得以发挥,使语言学习变成了真正有意义的语言交流。Step 6:Exercises设计意图:通过测评练习考查学生对本节课语言知识的理解,掌握及运用能力。Step7 SummarySummarize what we have learned about this passage.设计意图:让学生懂得在学完一节课后及时的总结所学到的知识,养成及时总结的学习习惯, 同时帮助同学们回顾本节课所学到的知识,达到“堂
