4B Unit6 Whose dress is this? By Jing Xukun from Chushui Primary School Good afternoon ,respected judges.Its my honour to be here to share my teaching opinions about 4B Unit6 Whose dress is this? Part story time with you.First, let me start with the analysis of the story time .when it comes to the teaching aims,we often set it from three aspects: At first,the knowledge aims:1. Enable Ss to master the new words、possessive nouns and some sentences in the text.2. Enable Ss to know the main idea of the dialogue and catch the specific information. Then,the ability aims:1. To use the new words and sentences to talk with others.2. To retell the story based on the understanding of the dialogue. Finally,the emotional aims.1. To arouse Ss interest in learning English. 2. To enhance Ss awareness of cooperating with others.Among all the teaching aims.Its the most important for Ss to achieve the knowledge aims.In addition,to cultivate and improve Ss reading ability by means of teaching them different reading skills.After that is teaching key and important points.This unit,the topic and function is about clothes and Possessive,so the key and important points are to learn and use some words about clothes and the sentences:Whose .is this?/whose.are these? Then lets come to my teaching methods.In my opinion,Its essential that we create our Ss an lively harmonious and authentic situation in which they can understand and use the language fluently and properly.So Ill choose situational teaching method which may be the best choice to help me to achieve this goal.In addition,Ill choose Task-based teaching method、game teaching method to arouse Ss interest and keep them dealing with questions and doing activities to master the knowledge.The last but not the least.Ill show you my teaching procedures on PPT.Teaching procedures:Before class,let Ss enjoy a video about nice clothes again and again.(Purpose:Review old words about clothes to arouse Ss memory.) Step1.Leading-in and revision1. Free talk: What do we need for the party?2. Lets play a game: Magic eyes (Purpose: create a situation about fancy dress party to revise some old words about clothes to elicit the new word:dress ) Step2.presentation1. Lets learn the new words using the sentences whats this?/what are these?(Purpose: Use pictures and phonetic symbol to help Ss learn the new words about clothes)2. Lets talk: Choose the suitable clothes (Purpose: compare a long dress with a short dress to elicit adverbs so and too and practise them.)3. Lets check:look at the pictures and remember Who? and What does he or she have?(Purpose: Elicit whose is this?/whoseare these and possessive nouns from playing a memory game.) Step3.Reading1. Let Ss Watch a cartoon and circle: What clothes are they talking about?2. Let Ss read pictures1 to 3 and choose:(Purpose: Finish different reading tasks to check Ss understanding of the dialogue) 3. Let Ss imitate after the recording. (Purpose: Imitate the pronunciation and intonation to realize the characters moods .)4. Let Ss watch the cartoon and match (Purpose: Finish reading tasks to check Ss understanding of the dialogue) 5. Let Ss imitate after the recording. (Purpose: Imitate the pronunciation and intonation to realize the characters moods .)6. Let Ss read the dialogue together.(Purpose: read the story together to check Ss understanding of the whole story ) 7. Let Ss choose any way they like to read or act the dialogue.(Purpose: Arouse Ss interest to read happily and learn to cooperate with others. ) Step4.conduction1.Let Ss finish the conversation in paris and try to act the conversation.(Purpose:Go back to the si
