Why do you like pandas? Because theyre kind of interesting. (why引导的特殊疑问句表示询问原因,回答时要用because引入答句。在问句中pandas用复数形式表示类别,在答句中,kind of“一点”= a little =a bit,修饰形容词。)2. Where are the lions from? Theyre from South Africa. (be from表示“来自于”,通常用来表示国籍,出生城市,可以用come from替换,在同义句转换中要注意动词的形式,is from=comes from, are from=come from。在问句中,要注意be动词和助动词形式,isfrom= doescome from, arefrom= docome from。)3. But I like tigers a lot. (a lot 在这句话中修饰动词,表示程度,相当于very much, 要注意区别它和a lot of / lots of “许多”,修饰名词。)4. I like pandas because they are cute. (我喜欢熊猫因为他们很可爱。原因状语从句, because引导原因,so“所以”,引导结果,在英文句子中“because”和“so”不能同时使用,要注意和汉语习惯的区别。)1.1.2 Ability goals 能力目标 1.1.2.1 教会学生运用本单元主题句型谈论家里的宠物。1.1.2.2 教会学生观察并归纳总结出相应的语法知识项目。1.1.2.3 教会学生正确运用really, very, kind of 和a lot 表达程度。1.1.2.4 教会学生正确掌握音素的发音,在话题谈论时体会并使用合适的语气表达赞扬、自豪、好奇、鄙视等情感。1.1.3 Emotional goals 情感目标 学生通过本课时学习能学会用正确的语句谈论自己喜欢的动物,树立“绿色生态”意识,保护动物,爱护地球。1.2 Important and difficult teaching points 教学重难点1.2.1 掌握why 和where 引导的特殊疑问句及其回答。1.2.2 掌握名词复数表示类别。1.2.3 掌握really, very, a lot与kind of表示程度的用法。2.0 Student analysis学情分析2.1 Fundamental State基本情况在第一课时的基础上学生已基本掌握了why和where引导的特殊疑问的问句与答语,用because引导答句,说明原因,在本单元的话题下because引导的从句几乎都是系表结构的句子。在第一节听说课的反复操练下,学生已经比较熟悉该句型的用法,上口也较为熟练。因此,本课时的学习任务比较轻松,大部分学生都能参与话题,拓展话题。在语言输出的基础上,教师要把教学的重点落到归纳总结上,对本单元目标句型进行语法梳理,通过Grammar Focus的集中归纳向学生呈现重难点,强调语言结构,在3a、3b的任务中学生的语言学习输出由词过渡到句,最后在3c的任务中完成开放性的语言输出任务,在时间允许的情况下,可以让学生有书面的输出。2.2 Knowledge Reserve知识储备学生通过前4个单元的学习,已经能熟练掌握一般现在时态,在本单元“谈论动物”、“谈论喜好”的话题下,通过第一课时的学习,学生已经储备了“Why? Because.” “ Where are they from? Theyre from. ”的基本句型,在本课时的教学中要求学生能整合前面学习的内容,进行多个话轮的对话输出,并能理解梳理Section A部分的语法知识。2.3 Class data本班实际本班学生有比较明确的学习目的,能够在小组活动中互相帮助,积极与他人合作,敢于用英语进行表达。本课时为本单元的第二课时,主要对本单元第一课时所学话题目标语句进行梳理和巩固。以谈论家里的宠物为切入点,呈现并复习基本语句“Hes very smart.” “Why dont you like her? Because shes kind of boring.”。本课时主要通过grammar focus句型展示,让学生学会观察并分析,梳理出本单元目标句型的重难点,引导学生理解并掌握由“Why”引导的特殊疑问句的不同人称,肯定和否定句型的构成,夯实“Because”引导答语的语言知识。同时呈现和学习程度副词kind of, very, really,a lot的基本用法。教师应该尽量创设情景,拓展思路,必要时帮助学生用英语进行准确表达。3.0 Teaching methods教法建议3.1 task-based teaching method任务型教学法3.2 communicative approach交际法3.3 discussion method 讨论法3.4 situational teaching approach情景教学法4.0 教学辅助 a blackboard and chalk, computer, projector5.0 Teaching procedures 教学进程5.1 Leading-in and warming-up 引入与激趣活动5.1.1 Play a game: Guessing gameShow pictures of animals, cover a part of each picture, and get the students to guess what the animals are. What can it do?5.2.3 While-reading1) Show pictures to introduce Peters pet dog and Jennys mothers pet cat. Elicit the phrases in 2d. He is cute and smart. He can walk on two legs. Because theyre really scary. 由why引导的特殊疑问句,回答时由连词_引出。观察并总结3:Where are lions from?Theyre from South Africa. where引导的特殊疑问句询问地点,句子中be from可以用 进行同义替换, 在替换时要注意动词的形式。is from= from, are from= from。在问句中,要注意be动词和助动词形式, Isfrom?= from? Arefrom? = from?答案: come from; comes; come; Doescome; Docome5.2.6 Practice work on 3a Look at 3a and 3b, ask Ss to fill in the blanks with the words giving.1) Ask Ss to read through the dialogue, and fill in the blanks by themselves. 2) Let Ss exchange and check their answers with each other.3) Let some Ss role play the conversation.Tips: Be动词后接形容词作表语; 副词修饰形容词时放在形容词前。5.2.7 Target task: Write your own sentences1) Show the pictures of animals, get the Ss to talk about your favorite animal and the animal they dont like with their partners. 2) Write two sentences: I like _ because theyre .I dont like because theyre .3) Let some Ss to share their sentencesTip: 可数名词复数形式表示类别,在表达“喜欢某物”时,名词用复数形式。5.2.8 Guessing game:One student comes to the front of the classroom, chooses a piece of paper with an animals name on it. The other students try to guess what animal it is. When they are guessing, you can ask questions like this:Is the animal big?Wheres the animal from?What color is the animal?Is the animal friendly / cute / lazy?Is the animal a panda / a tiger/ giraffe?5.3 New points interpretation 新知感悟(贴标签)5.3.1 Discovering chunks语块发现Get Ss to read the text once again, this time, ask the Ss to underline all the useful chunks in it. 1) He can walk on two legs. 2) Why dont you like the cat? 3) Because shes kind of boring.4) She sleeps all day.5) Thats a good name for her.6) Why do you like pandas? Because theyre kind of interesting.7) Where are lions from? Theyre from South Africa.8) Is it black and white?5.3.2 Analyzing chunks语块分析 1) Why dont you like the cat? Because shes kind of boring. (本句是why引导的特殊疑问句否定提问的表达,仍然要用Because来引导答语。Why do you like ? 表示“你为什么喜欢?”当句子里面的助动词变成否定形式时,根据上下文可以表示“你为什么不?”这个句型表达提出建议,希望得到肯定回答,在这里就仅仅表达对问句的否定,即“你为什么不喜欢那只猫呢?”) 2) Where are lions from? Theyre from South Africa. (where引导的特殊疑问句问地点,句子中的be from= come from)3) Is it black and white? (一般疑问句,注意“black and white”意思是“黑白相间的”,注意与选择疑问句区别。)4) Because theyre kind of interesting.Because theyre very cute.Because theyre really scary.But I like tigers a lot. (程度副词kind of , very, really修饰形容词,放在形容词之前,a lot放在句子最后,修饰动词。)5.3.3 Using chunks 语块运用 Guide Ss to know the meanings of the following sentences and make similar new sentences of their own.
