Improve students listening and speaking skills .4. 难点Improve students listening and speaking skills .三、 教学过程Step I warm-up 1. greetings .2. revisions .review some words they have learnt last lesson.Step II Presentation1. lead-in show some pictures about clubs to the whole class . then guide them to read the words one by one .then ask some of them to read all the words.Next ,guide the students to express by using the sentence: I want to join the art club/he wants to join the .Finally ,show some pictures and ask them ,”what club do you want to join ?”The students can answer by using the sentence :I want to join .2.teach activity 2aask the students to read the information in 2a ,then play the conversations for them to listen ,and circle the clubs they hear .next ,play it again for students to complete the sentences in 2b ,later invite several students to check the answers with the whole class.Step III Practice1. Activity 2cLook at 2b and talk about what the people can do and clubs they want to join .give them an example . then give them a few minutes to do that . finally ,ask some pairs to act out the conversation .Step IV ConsolidationTeach Activity 2dFirst ,ask students to read the conversation silently to get the main idea .Then lead students to read it sentence by sentence ,explain some language points at the same time .Next ,ask students to practice role-playing the conversation in pairs .Finally invite several pairs to present for the whole class .Step V Summary In this period ,weve mainly learned how to talk about abilities and the clubs we like to join through some listening and speaking practice . we also get some language points .Step VI Homework1. practice reading the conversation in activity
