Warming-up and Lead in 1.Greet the Ss . 2. Have a Chant: Sunny, sunny, sunny. I am running. Cloudy, cloudy, cloudy. He is walking. Raining, raining, raining. She is reading. Snowing, snowing, snowing. Lets go skating.3. Revision:T: Do you like rainy days? No, I dont. I like playing outside. Now, some people are playing. Lets see what they are doing. Please look the pictures.What are you/ they doing? We/ They are What is he/she doing? He/ She is Yes/No questions and short answers.Step2. Presentation Show some pictures of the weather.Let Ss look at the pictures and ask them how the weather is. Ss learn the new words and expressions with the help of the pictures. Step3. Games1. Guessing game (Hows the weather? Is it .?) (Showing some pictures on the big screen.) Ask Ss Hows the weather? Ss guess and answer the question. 2. Read the words about weather.Step4. Pair work 1. Tell the Ss: I like traveling. And I want to go to some beautiful places. Do you know these places? Teach these city names. 2. Talk about the weather with your friends in these cities . Make a model with a student like this:T: Hi! Hows the weather in Beijing?S1: Its sunny. 3. Ask and answer about the weather in the cities. 4. Make Conversations in pairs:(Talking on the phone)If you are Mike, you want to go to one place to travel , please call your friend Bill to know about the weather there. Step5 Challenge to the host 1.
