Teaching Design Unit12 Section B2 Writings Focus(澂江县第三中学 王绍明)一、教学目标: 1. 语言知识目标: 1) 通过作文教学的方式复习一般现在时和一般过去时态的用法及动词的过去式。能正确叙述过去发生的事情,并且在写作应用中不和一般现在时态发生混淆。 2) 通过不同形式的图片展示和课堂口语教学来巩固一般过去时态的应用。 3) 学会谈论自己日常的周末和过去的周末。2. 情感态度价值观目标:1) 能积极主动学习,合作学习。2) 温故知新,养成复习总结习惯。二、教学重难点1. 教学重点:1) 复习一般现在时和一般过去时态的用法及动词的过去式。 2) 通过作文现场教学的形式来巩固运用所学的知识。2. 教学难点:正确判断时态,能对一般过去时态和一般现在时态熟练运用,描述日常和过去发生的事件。三、教学过程. Warming-up and revision (lead-in)1. Show five pictures by which students will be asked to describe what they often do. 2. Students in groups ask and answer. . Oral writing practice1. Show the flashcard with the six phrases: get up/ get dressed/ brush teeth/ eat breakfast/take a shower/ practice English.2.Use the phrases to have an oral practice with the title My weekend in the morning. 3. Point out the phrases and ask students to describe what they do on their weekends.4. Then choose some of them to do it individually.III. Writing Practice11.Students are all demanded to have a writing task with the title My weekend. 2.Give them a few minutes to get ready and one volunteers to write his or her writing on the blackboard.3.When the student on the blackboard finishes it, the others have to stop. And all of them correct the mistakes on the blackboard together.IV. Lead-in and practice (This activity provides speaking and writing practice using the target language.)1.Guide the students to make up conversations by showing flashcards. 2.Focus on going over the past tense by this task. V. Oral Practice ( This task mainly focuses on speaking practice.) 1.According to the periods of time listed, students try to describe what he or she did last weekend(on Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon.). 2. The teacher just leads them to form a full composition with the periods of time. 3.Make one of them describe it as a model. VI. Writing Practice1.Write a short passage about their last weekend.2.Do the task together and choose one of the volunteers to write on the board.(Move around the classroom monitoring progress and giving language support as needed.)3. Check the writing of the volunteer with them together.4. Offer a possible version of the writing to help them enrich their writings.VII. Conclusion Make a short conclusion of the tasks: My weekend and my last weekend, noticing the differences of the past tense and the present tense.(Get some students to summarize it with their own words.) Homework 1.Show the four typical pictures of Beijing, helping them recognize it.2. Ask them to write a travel diary.(Imagine he or she is an American student who travels to Beijing. 3. Demands: 1.)
