Im watching TV.B: Ability aims: 1. 根据实际情况谈论天气状况并灵活运用现在进行时进行交际训练。2. 通过听力练习,提高听力水平C:Emotion aims: 在合作学习中培养学生乐于学习的精神,积极进取二、Teaching difficult and important points1. 运用本课所学描述词进一步谈论天气情况。2. 加强听力训练,逐渐培养学生准确听听力的能力3. 结合天气用语及现在进行时进行交际训练。三:Teaching stepsStep1Greeting and telling1:Greeting them ans usual“good morning”2:Telling the rules:The teacher says:I will divide you into 6 groups.If your group do the best, I will give you some exercises books to you as prizes.OK?(目的:小组合作探究,提高学生积极性)Step2Presentation1:play a video (about the weather)to ask the students to enjoy it .When they watch it, they can read after the video(the important words and sentences)2:Show a picture of rainy day .The teacher asks:”Whats the weather like today?” Let them answer “Its rainy/raining !”.Then lead in the title “Its raining! Say:Today we will learn unit7 :Its raining. 3:Show the study aims to the students to make them know what we will learn today4:Show a set of flash pictures about weather .The teacher asks:”whats this?”.Help them answer:”Its wind/sun/cloud/snow/rain”Then asks:”How is the weather?”Help them answer:”Its windy/sunny/cloudy/snowy/snowing/rainy/raining.”(期间让学生分组反复读单词,句型。目的是熟练掌握本课单词句型)5:Show a picture.Ask the students to say out the rules(名词变形容词+y)Step 3: Match Let the students open the books and turn to page 37.(1a)(match the words with the pictures)Give them 1 minute to finish it.Then check the answers one by oneStep4Presentation1:Show a picture of weather report. Say :This is a weather report. Let s have a weather report .OK?2:Show a set of world maps .The teacher asks:How is the weather in Toronto/Sydney/Boston/Moscow?/What is the weather like in Toronto/Sydney/Boston/Moscow? Let the students answer .At the same time .The teacher teaches the new words: Toronto/Sydney/Boston/MoscowAnd the students repeat them for some timesStep 5: Practice Let the students work in pairs according to the mapsA:Hows the weather in.?/What is the weather like in.?B:It is rainy/windy/raining/snowy/snowing/sloudy/sunny让学生通过这个活动,把今天所学的知识进行巩固和拓展。Step 6: Listening (1b)Play the tape .Let the students Listen and write these city names in the boxes. Then check the answers one by one(了解异国天气,增加文化意识的渗透)Step 7:PracticeAguessinggameShow a set of flash pictures. Let the students guess1: How is the weather ?/What is the weather like ?2:What is he /she doing?/What are they doing?(在猜猜的游戏中,不仅及时巩固和运用了各种天气的表达,同时复习了前一单元的知识点:现在进行时,也为下一个步骤做了铺垫,并活跃了课堂气氛,锻炼了学生的口语表达能力,提高了学生学英语的积极性)Step 8:Watching .writing and speakingPlay a music photo album about the teacher .the teachers daughter and the teachers friends . Let the students watch .After watching it ,Let them say out what they saw as possible as they can .They can use the sentences:The weather is rainy/windy/raining/snowy/snowing/sloudy/sunnyThe teacher is swimming/riding a horse/eating. (教师对学生的表现进行评价或由学生互评让学生通过这个活动,把今天所学的知识进行巩固和拓展。学生的听说读写能力得以提高,也使课堂气氛得以升华)Step 9 summary1:Make the students have a summary by themselves what they learned in this classFor example :Words:Weather: rainy/windy/raining/snowy/snowing/sloudy/sunnyPlace : Toronto/Sydney/Boston/MoscowSentences:How is the weather ?/What is the weather like ?Its rainy/windy/raining/snowy/snowing/sloudy/sunny2: See which group is the best.
