To train students reading skills. 教学难点Present perfect tense with been, ever and never; thousands of; whether.课堂设计Step 1 Lead-in(1) The teacher plays a role of a guide and asks the students the following question: Where have you been before?(2) Play a video about Singapore and encourage the students to guess which country it is. After that let them talk about what they want to know about Singapore.Step 2 New Teaching (1) Play the record of the passage and ask the students try to find out the reasons they can find for visiting Singapore. They can discuss with their group members.(2) Encourage the students to read the passage again, then let them try to fill in the blanks on the blackborad.1.
