A projector.教学过程:Section A (1a 1c)Step 1 Lead-in. Greet the class as usual and check the homework.Step 2 Presentation.1. Introduction and new words learning.First, tell students, in this unit were going to learn how to use “Could I please?” to make polite requests and ask for permissions.Watch the pictures and talk about them “What does the girl do every day? and learn these phrases: do chores, do the dishes, sweep the floor, make the bed, take out the rubbish, fold the clothes, clean the living room.Then show new words on the blackboard, teach students how to read them ask them to repeat.2. Warm up.Show the question on the blackboard: What is a more polite way to ask for something? Give some sample sentences, such as , “ Please give me your pen.” or “Give me your pen, please.”Encourage students to think about it and speak as much as they can.3. Teach Activity 1a.This activity aims to review some key vocabulary and introduce some new words.Point to the items, ask students what the word “chores” means.Point to the items again and read each one for the class. Ask students to explain each chore in their own words and say if they do it or not. For example, a student might say , “After we eat breakfast the dishes and dirty. We have to do dishes. Do the dishes is the same as wash the dishes.”Ask students to work in pairs. As the work, move around the room and answer any questions they have.Step 3 Discussion What chores do you have at home?Who often does the chores?How often do you family do them?Step 4 Teach Activity 1b.1. Read the instruction.2. Play the recording the first time. 3. Play the recording the second time. 4. Later correct the answers.Step 5 Teach Activity 1c.Point to the picture above.First, read the sample conversation in the box. Then ask two students to act it out for the class.Make a conversation about the chores in 1a.For example:A: Could you please.? B: Yes, sure. /All right. /No problem./Certainly. Sorry, I cant. I have to do. Sorry, I cant. I am doing.Have students work with a partner. Ask each other to do the chores in Activity 1a. First , one students asks all the questions and the other student answers.
