Unit 3 Could you clean your room?一、Teaching aims: 1、Knowledge: a. Learn the new words: chore, dish, sweep, rubbish, fold, meeting, hate, laundryb. Master verb phrases,; take out; take out the rubbish; fold your clothes; sweep the floor; make ones bed; living room; clean the living room; stay out late; get a ride; give me a ride downtown; go to a meeting; have/hold a meeting; need to do; go out; work on; hate doing sth./to do sth; do chores; do the laundry; agree with sb.; make breakfast; do the dishes.c. Use the important patterns: -Could you please do? -Sure, Mom. /Yes, sure. -Sorry, I cant. I have/need to do sth. -Could I use the car? -No, you cant. I have to go out. -Could I use your computer? -Sorry. Im going to work on it now. -Do you like to do the laundry? -No, I dont. Its boring. I hate to do chores. But I like cleaning the bike because I can be outside. 2、Skills:1) Students should be able to use the target language to politely ask for others help and response politely. 2) Cultivate students skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing and using English comprehensively. 3、Emotion:Cultivate students good habits of politeness, being cleaning, loving working, being glad to help others and caring about their parents. 二、Teaching Important & difficult points: 1、Learn and master the new words and the verb phrases in this part.2、Learn how to politely ask for others help and response others questions. -Could you please do? -Sure, Mom. /Yes, sure. -Sorry, I cant. Learn the new words: Do you do these chores at home? What do you usually do at home? 1) As a housewife, my mom needs to do some chores at home. She has to do the dishes; take out the rubbish; fold your clothes; sweep the floor; make the bed; clean the living room; do some cooking/cook dinner; do some shopping; do the laundry and so on.2) As a teacher, I need to do some chores at school. I have to help my students with their English, and work on English. Sometimes I have to have a meeting. 2. Test your memory. a. After dinner, you need to _.b.
