Section A 1a1c教学设计进贤县罗溪中学 杨洪国一、教材分析Analysis of Teaching Material1、教学内容:本节讲授内容为八年级第六单元第一课时。本单元围绕做“比较级” 这个句型开展多种教学活动,本节课是本单元的重点,主要通过学习形容词的比较等级,对人的外貌和性格特征进行对比,进一步加深对比较等级的语法现象的理解和运用。同时通过对话对比较等级进行操练,进一步提高学生听、说、读、写综合素质能力。本课为Unit 6的第一课,本单元主要学习如何运用描述人的外表及性格的形容词,引出本单元的语法项目:形容词的比较级;含比较级的句型。2、教材地位和作用: 以描述人的外貌和性格特征的形容词为主线,兼顾交际功能的学习,以一种循序渐进的生活化的学习程序,引导学生学会用英语对自己或他人的外表和性格特征进行对比,注重语言知识的呈现,为以后作可持续交际奠定基础。二、教学目标Teaching Goals1. 知识目标: ()学习、掌握tall, short, smart, long, wild, quiet, funny, heavy, outgoing的比较级;初步掌握规则单音节词及少数双音节词、多音节词比较级的构成形式。()能熟练运用Is that ?- No, it isnt . Its . Its . is than .句型对人的外貌及性格特征作对比。 Pedro is funnier than Paul. Tina is taller than Tara. Tom is more athletic than Sam.2. 能力目标:提高学生听、说、读、写及知识自学的综合能力。3. 情感目标:()通过形象、生动的教学使学生掌握如何去比较两个人,并从中学会欣赏别人,享受与不同的人交往的乐趣。 ()培养学生学习英语的强烈兴趣,乐于参加各种活动的积极情感。4. 德育目标:通过比较,正确认识自己及他人的优缺点,保持良好的生活习惯。三、教具Teaching Aids 录音机 多媒体辅助教学(CAI)四、学情分析Analysis of the Students1. 本单元话题内容贴近学生生活实际,同学们感兴趣,有话可说,有话愿说。在新目标英语七年级(下)第七单元What does he look like?中曾学习过一些描述人物外貌特征的词语,如:short,tall,curly, straight hair, medium build, thin, heavy, blonde等,在学习本单元有关人物性格特征的单词时,可以温故而知新。学习语法知识点“形容词的比较级”以及人物比较的表达时,应紧密联系学生实际,就地取材,拿身边的人或物进行对比,由词汇变化到句子,再由句子扩展到语篇,使每位学生都能使用正确的语言结构描述人物特点和进行人物比较,能自由谈论自己的好朋友,以及他们之间的异同。 2. 利用多媒体课件上英语课,学生视听感受明显,表现出极大兴趣,在欣赏和享受中学习,学习效果很明显。 3. 学生以前已经学过形容词的比较级和最高级,但掌握的强度不够,对单音节和多音节形容词的比较级和最高级的表达上总是出现错误。通过对本课的学习可以巩固所学知识,掌握用正确的语言结构表达人物特点和人物比较。五、教学重点与难点 Teaching Importance and Difficulty 教学重点是学生能够对人物外貌进行描述,个性进行比较。教学难点是形容词比较级的规则变化和不规则变化,形容词比较级的用法。六、教学过程设计Teaching ProceduresStep 1 Revision Task 1:Go over the adjective words about appearance and personalities 1. The teacher exchanges greet with Ss. 2. Revise the adjectives describing peoples appearance and personalities. 3. Show some photos about famous persons and talk about their personal traits, using description words, such as short hair/long hair, curly hair/straight hair, tall/short,heavy/thin,funny/serious,outgoing/quiet,smart/foolish, beautiful/ugly, hardworking/lazy, friendly/unfriendly etc, on the screen. 1)个子高矮:Short,tall,(of) medium height 2)体型胖瘦:Thin,heavy(fat),(of)medium build 3)发型:short hair,curly hair,long hair,straight hair,short straight hair,brown hair,long straight hair,short curly hair,long curly hair,black hair,blonde hair 4)个性特征:funny/serious,outgoing/quiet,smart/foolish, beautiful/ugly,hardworking/lazy,friendly/unfriendly 4. Ss review the description words of appearance by presenting some pictures of famous stars. 5. The teacher instructs Ss to summarize all the above adjectives can be used to describe ones look.(学生们自由发表他们的意见,用已学知识谈论人物的外貌。)Task 2:Talk about people about their appearance and personalities Step 2 Lead -in(形容词的比较级和最高级的教学,多展示一些变词规则和句型在屏幕上,便于学生融会贯通。)Learn some new words about personal traits: calm/wild, quiet/outing,(使用屏幕上展示的配有英文单词的图片。)1. The teacher presents some new words by pictures. outgoing 友好的,外向的 twin 孪生的,双胞胎的;双胞胎(之一) calm 镇静的,沉着的 wild 鲁莽的,轻率的 Tina 蒂娜(女名) Tara 塔拉(女名) Pedro 佩德罗(男名)2. The teacher guide Ss to practice new sentences of comparing people by pictures. E.g. Jordan is tall.Yao Ming is taller.Yao Ming is taller than Jordan. Jordan is a little shorter than Yao MingWho is more outgoing?Li Yong is more outgoing than Chen Long.Step 3 Presentation Section A 1a Matching words with its opposite 1.Tell students to draw lines between the words of the opposite meanings individually. Then check the answers.2. Get the students to write down the compare degree of each word in 1a. 3. Show the flash on the screen.Get the students to look at the picture. Ask students how many people there are in the picture. Then say, Maybe theyre having a concert. There are three teachers under the stage. Ask, Who is taller, Pedro or Paul? Yes, Pedro is taller than Paul. Then ask them to repeat: Tina is wilder than Tara. Tara is calmer than Tina. Sam is wilder than Tom. Sam has longer hair than Tom. Tom is calmer than Sam. Tom has shorter hair than Sam. Pedro is heavier than Paul. Paul is thinner than Pedro. Step 4 Listening and practice Section A 1b Listen and number the pair of twins 1-3 in the picture. First tell students what the twins are. Twins are children born at the same time to the same parents. Sometimes they look exactly alike, but not always. The twins in this picture do not look exactly alike. Then say, Now well hear three conversations about the people in the picture. They are all twins. Listen to the conversations carefully and number the pairs of twins (13) in the picture.1) The teacher guides Ss to describe the picture on.the screen.2) Ss listen to the tape and number the pairs of twins in the picture. 3)The teacher checks answers with Ss and guides Ss to predict the differences between the twins.4) The teacher provides a worksheet for each student,Ss listen to the tape once again and try to find out the differences between twins by filling the blank. (1) Sam has _ than Tom. Tom is _ than Sam. (2) Tina is _ than Tara. Tina is also_ than Tara. (3) Pedro is _ than Paul. Paul is _ than Pedro.5)Ss read the tapescripts after the teacher.6)The teacher explains some key language points in the tapescripts to Ss.Step 5 Pairwork and perform Section A 1cTask 3:Talk about people with comparative degree.1. The teacher presents dialogue 1c to Ss and practice in pairs.2. Some Ss perform their dialogue to the class, then the teacher make comments. 3.Get the Ss talk about themselves and their friends with comparative degree in groups of four.4. Ss review what they learnt in the class.5. Ss do some exercise to check their understanding of this units key language points.Step 6 Summary 1. Give Ss a chance to summarize what we have learned in this class. 1) Words: twin,outgoing,calm, wild ,serious, athletic 2) 比较级句型结构: 主语+谓语(be)+adj. 比较级+ than+ 被比较对象. 3)形容词比较级的变化规则 2. Get the Ss to do some exercises in class. The teacher goes around the class and gives them some help if necessary.3. Check the answers.Step 7 Homework 1. Tell the differences between you and your partner. 2. Recite 1c as homework. 3. Preview Section B.七、板书设计Blackboard DesignUnit 6 Im more outgoing than my sister.Section A 1a1c 1.words: twin,outgoing,calm, wild 2.形容词比较级构成: 直接加er; 以e结尾加r;以辅音字母加y结尾,y变i加er;双写再加er; 多音节词前加more;不规则变化。 3.比较级句型结构: A+be+形容词的比较级+than +B. Tina is wilder than Tara. Tara is calmer than Tina. Sam is wilder than Tom. Sam has longer hair than Tom. Tom is calmer than Sam. Tom has shorter hair than Sam. Pedro is heavier than Paul. Paul is thinner than Pedro.八、教学反思Teaching Reflection本节课同学们通过大量的口语练习达到了能较熟练的谈论人物之间异同的效果,采用“任务型”教学模式,任务有三:任务一是通过图片展示和小组活动复习描述人物外貌和性格特征的形容词;任务二是谈论自己和好友的外貌和性格特征;任务三是通过小组合作的形式使用形容词的比较级来描述人物。任务要层层递进,由易到难,构建由初级任务到高级任务并由高级任务涵盖初级任务的循环,使教学阶梯式地层层递进,符合习得规律。以任务为中心的任务型语言教学是目前交际教学思想中的一种新的发展形态,它倡导“在做中学,在做中用”的教育理念,将语言应用的基本理念转化为具有实践意义的课堂教学方式。运用学习任务组织教学,强化了语言实践的过程,充分体现了语言的交际本质。从课堂反映可以看出学生们学习兴趣浓厚,对形容词比较级的运用较自如,完
