Teach Activity 1a.First, show some pictures of places of interests on the screen.Ask students to say what places they are.Then, lead students to read the names of places of interests and know their meanings.Ask them to match the pictures with the names.Finally, check the answers together._the Terracotta Army_the Great Wall_the Birds Nest_the Palace MuseumKeys: c, a, d, b2. Divide students into pairs to make conversations about the pictures like this:A:Have you ever been to the Great Wall?B:Yes, I have.A:When did you go there?B:I went there last year.A:Do you like it?B:Yes.Step 3 Listening1. Teach Activity 1b.T:Now,lets do some listening practice. You will hear a conversation between a student and a foreign student. Please listen carefully to know what they are talking about and check the questions you hear. Before the listening, have a look at the questions first.Give students one minute to read the questions.After that, play the tape for students to listen.Finally, check the answers together.2. Teach Activity1c.Lead students to have a look at the items to know what to do in this activity.Tell them to listen to the tape carefully again,take notes to fill in the blanks.After listening, invite a student to show his or her answers. Correct mistakes if any.Step 4.Post-listening1. Fill in the blanks.2.
