Module 11 Way of lifeUnit 1 In China, we open a gift later.本课时编写:合肥市金湖中学 江立寒教材分析本课为Module11的第一单元,对话呈现了同学们赠送玲玲生日礼物的场景。玲玲和贝蒂、托尼的国籍不同,接受礼物的方式和打开礼物的时间也不同,由此大家展开了对各国风俗习惯的讨论。教学目标l Knowledge objective1. To understand the conversation in relation to Traditional life.2. To get specific information from the listening material.3. To talk about and understand the verb: must, mustnt, can, cant.l Ability objectiveEnable students to listen to and talk about things they must and mustnt do. l Moral objectiveTo get the student to know about the different tradition life in different countries.教学重难点New words and expressions.To learn the usage of must, mustnt, can, cant.课前准备A tape recorder, multimedia and some pictures.教学过程Step1 Listen and number the words and expressions as you hear them.1. Let Ss listen to the tape and number the words and expressions.2. Then draw answers from the students.【设计意图】本活动为获取细节信息的听力活动。Step2 Match the words and expressions in Activity 1 with the pictures.1. Ask the Ss to look at the pictures and figure out the items.2. Read the words and expressions and choose the right pictures.3. Ask them to check answers with a partner and describe the pictures together.4. Elicit answers. Then elicit some customs about giving presents in China.【设计意图】本活动旨在训练学生在听力中捕捉细节信息的能力。Step3 Read the dialogue and answer the questions.1. When can people open the present in China?2. Where must people open the present immediately?3. Do people accept a present with both hands in the West?Step4 Now check() what you usually do in China.1. Ask the Ss to look at the sentences and try to decide the answers individually.2. Listen to and read the conversation again. Tell them to underline the key information and check the correct sentences.3. Ask them to check their answers with a partner.4.
