Learn to make polite requests and ask for permission. Key Vocabulary: rubbish,fold,floor,sweep,chore,dish Key phrases: fold the clothes,make ones/the bed,take out the rubbish, sweep the floor,clean the living room,work on Sentences: A:Could you please .? B:Yes, sure. /All right. /No problem./Certainly/Of course. Sorry, I cant. I have to do. A:Could I .? B:Yes, you can. /Sorry, you cant.2. Ability aims: Students can understand the topics of doing chores and grasp the vocabulary, the sentence patterns and grammar focus. 3. Emotional aims: Help the students develop a good habit of sharing chores with their Parents in our lives. II. Teaching key points Master the key words,phrases and sentence structures.Teaching difficult points Learn to make polite requests and ask for permission III. Preparation before class Collect phrases about chores. Get PPT readyIV. Teaching steps Step 1 Warming up T : How are you today ?S: Fine ,thank you .And you ?T: I am a little tired .because I did some chores last night ,and I stayed up late .T: Do you do chores at home ?Step 2 lead-in T: I often do chores at home .Do you do these chores at home ? Now lets learn some phrases about chores. 1.Showing some pictures to lead in the new words and phrases the students read after the teacher and then try to remember them. 2. Do a memory test in class Show some pictures about chores and ask the students to say out the phrases.3. Organize the students to say out the chores as fast as possible according to the pictures. 4. Activity 1,ask students to write phrase about chores,the more the better.Step 3 Presentation T: To have a clean and comfortable room ,we should do chores .Duo duos living room is really a mess .Her father wants her to fold the clothes .What can he say ? If Duo duo agrees,what can she say ?If she disagrees ,what can she say ? S: - Could you please fold your clothes ? - Yes ,sure ./Of course ./Certainly . - Sorry ,I have to . Show some pictures to make dialogues.Step 4 Oral Practice & Pair Work 1. Ask some pairs to read the dialogues in class, 2. Activity 2 ,play a game about the sentence structures “Could you please . ?”“Could I . ?” . Sample 1 A:Could you please do the dishes? B:Yes, sure. Sample 2 A: Could I use your computer? B: Sorry, Im going to work on it now. Sample 3 A: Could I go to the movies ? B: No, you cant.
