S1: I remember a story called Yu Gong Moves a Mountain. T:Yes,today we will learn something about this story. T:Do you like reading stories?Which fairy story have you heard?.Step 2 Presentation (about6minutes)1. Show some pictures on the screen Look at the pictures and guess the English names of the fairy stories.(the main character)2. Match the pictures with the English names in Page41 and tell Ss that there are four Chinese ancient fairy tales.3. Read the names of the story in the box.Step 3 Listening(about12minutes)1. Listen for the first time ,ask Ss to listen to the tape carefully and try to finish 1c,for the second time fill in the blanks in the paper .Then for the last time check the answers by themselves.2. Check the answers together.Step 4 Pair work (about 6minutes)1. Read the questions in the box in 1c. 2. Ss discuss the questions with their partners. 3. Let some pairs ask and answer the questions. e.g. A: How does the story happen? B: There were two very tall mountains in front of their house.
