Unit 5 Look into ScienceLesson 30 Science Affects Us 教材分析1. Analysis of the Students The students of Grade 9 have mastered certain vocabularies,expressions and structures. They also have the abilities of self-teaching and working in groups. Most of them are willing to express their opinions in English.2. Analysis of Teaching ContentLesson 30 is the sixth lesson in Unit 5, Book 5.This unit focus on the subject Look into science, also teach the students something about science. Students cares about the subject because it is close to everyone. Lesson 30 mainly talks about the experiments of Wang Mei and Jenny, this lesson also talks about the science affects to us. It asks the students can describe the experiments. 教学目标【知识目标】1. To master the word : mobile phone, suggest, affect, discovery.2. To master the phrases: turn over, push up, push down, in place.【能力目标】Improve the students ability of speaking, listening, reading and writing.【情感目标】Know more about the nature, and establish a scientific outlook on life.【教学重点】To master the words and phrases.【教学难点】To master the meaning of the passage, conclusion the knowledge of this unit. 课前准备 Tape recorder, Multimedia 教学过程Step 1. Warm-up1. Enjoy a video about the experiment.2. Free talk: What would life be like without computers or mobile phones?Step 2. Presentation1. Explain the new words.2. Show the pictures of Jenny and Wang Mei to elicit the lesson.3. Read the lesson and fill in the blanks:Science affects peoples_ lives.
