Knowledge aims: Students can use the new words: sing, swim, dance, draw and phrases: play chess, speak English and play the guitar as well as the sentences pattern: Can you? And short answers: Yes, I can./No, I cant. Students know how to use the modal verb “can” correctly.2. Ability aims: Enable the students to talk about abilities by using the modal verb “can” Develop the skills about listening and speaking. Students can develop their abilities of working in pairs and communication by learning the useful structure.3. Emotional aims;Students can develop energetic hobbies as well as the relationship between other students. Teaching key and important points:1. Teaching key point: Master the vocabularies about hobbies and some musical instruments.2. Teaching important point: The usage of the modal verb “can”. Teaching methods: Task based language teaching method Teaching aids: Multi-media, Teaching procedures:Step1: warming-up and lead in1. Daily greetings to the students and sing a song:In my dream2. Play a guessing game: Shows students half of the pictures, and students guess what are they. (设计意图:通过唱英文歌曲这一环节让学生在轻松愉悦的氛围中开始英语学习。然后由学生喜欢的游戏活动进入到本课的学习中。)Step2: Presentation1. Present new words and phrases: sing, swim, dance, draw, play chess, speak English,then help the students to understand the new words. Students learn the words by repeat and reading loudly. They can read one by one, group by group and read together.(设计意图:本课的生词、短语是本节课的一个重点,因此采取激趣导入单词及短语,然后采用不同形式的逐个读、赛读、齐读对这一教学重点进行强化。)2. Use the new words to ask students related questions: Can you swim/sing/dance/draw/speak English/play the guitar/play chess? Students answer by short answers: Yes, I can./No, I cant.(设计意图:讲所学单词及短语及时运用于对话操练中,既巩固了重点词汇,又自然过渡到重点句型的学习。)3. consolidation: play a game-Get in my Yes TrainT: Now lets play a game. I will drive a train, when I drive it beside you, Ill ask you: Can you? If your answers are: Yes, I can. Then you may get in my Yes Train. Accordingly, when we drive the train beside the next one, we will ask him or her together. And lastly, our Yes Train will be longer and longer.(设计意图:在上一环节中已经对词汇、短语进行了机械地操练,也对目标句型进行了初步的学习。爱玩游戏孩子的天性,如果知识的学习能够在学生非常感兴趣的游戏活动中实现,必然会有事半功倍的效果。因此,将这一环节设计为一个游戏,使学生能够积极地参与进来,在达成重难点的突破的同时,也激发了学生对于英语学习的兴趣和热情。)Step3.
