Revision and presentation Show an old camera to the Ss.T: Look! This is one of Miss Gaos birthday presents. Whats this in English?Maybe some of the Ss can say, “Its a camera.”Show the word “can” and teach them to read the new word correctly. Then read it one by one. Then open the camera. Show a film to the Ss. Tell them its a film and read the new word. Also tell them another Chinese meaning of the word.Then put the camera on the desk.T: Wheres the camera now?S: Its on the teachers desk. Then practise again and again by using other objects. Revise the sentences:A: Wheres my/ your? B: Its on/ in/ near/ behind/ under.A: Where are my/ your? B: Theyre on/ in/ near/ behind/ under Ask the Ss to practise in pairs and act out them.Step 3. Presentation T: Look at me carefully.Show the film and put it on the desk. Then hide it. Now the teacher is looking for something.T: Where is my film?Ss: Its on the desk.T: No, it isnt there. It was there a moment ago.Teach the new words. Explain them in Chinese if necessary. Then use other objects to practise and teach: They were there just now.Step 4. Then practise with their friends. And call out three groups to act.Step 5. Presentation Show the picture of Part A. T: What can you see in this picture? T: Whose camera is it? What are they doing? T: Its Sports Day. All the students are very excited. (BW) Teach the new words and expressions and drill them.Step 6. Listen and answer Play the tape twice. Ask the Ss to listen to the first passage and answer some questions about it. Questions: (1) Who are the two girls? Play the tape for the second part of the dialogue twice. Ask the Ss to listen to the dialogue carefully and answer some questions about it. Questions: (1) What is Su Hai looking for now?(2) Were they in the bag just now?(3) Where are they now?(4) Can Su Yang pick them up for Su Hai? Read the questions first. And teach the new word and expressions: ground, on the ground, Can I have them? Can you pick them up for me? Drill them. Step 5. Listen and read Play the tape and ask the Ss to read the whole dialogue themselves. Then read it with their partners. Then call out one or two groups to read it loudly.Step 6. Exercise Go through the sentences under the dialogue first. The keys are: TFTT. Listen to the dialogue again and plete the short passage with correct words. It was the Sports Day.
