To ensure the quality and performance of the mobile phone, we need to tune those parameters of mobile phone components by a special application tool. CFT (Calibration & Final Test) is used to do RF tuning and calibration automatically so that making the mobile precisely working and conforming to the 3GPP specifications. In addition, some mobile phones cannot normally work due to the production technology deviations. CFT can also distinguish those issue phones to make sure the quality of mass production.CFT supports:l Battery calibration (ADC).l RF parameter tuning (AFC/APC/AGC)l RF performance test (Final Test according to 3GPP specification)l Current Test (Power Off / Deep Sleep)1.2 Runtime environment1.2.1 Hardwaren Generic Pentium III PC or above.n Agilent 8960 or R&S CMU 200 or Anritsu MT8820C, CMWCMU 200 suggests software V5.20 above.Agilent 8960 suggests E1969A.n NI or Agilent GPIB device (NI GPIB is highly recommended)n Agilent 663XX or Keithley K230X series power supply (Agilent66319D, Keithley K2304 is highly recommended)1.2.2 Softwaren Microsoft Windows 2000 or XP, Vista, Win7. (Windows XP is highly recommended)n NI GPIB card: NI-488.2 or VISA driver Agilent GPIB card: VISA driver.1.3 Installation1.4 Support Equipment ListThe supported equipments list is shown as below:l Please contact with FAEs of instrument corp. to get further information about equipment license.l Please contact with FAEs of R&S or Agilent to get the wave files of CMW and EXT equipment.R&S : Lei.YAgilent : Yan.L1.5 Test Environment SetupPlease setup the test connection according to the follow picture: Figure 1-1 Architecture of the test environment : PC which GPIB driver, SPRD USB driver (If USB cable) has already been installed PC communicates with instruments by GPIB cable. PC communicates with DUT by UART/USB cable.: Remote Power Supply (Such as Agilent66319D or Keithley2304.etc): RF test equipment such as CMU200, Agilent8960etc: DUT (SPRD device under test) DUT is connected to RF equipment by RF cable to transmit or receive RF signals. DUT is connected to PC by UART/USB cable.l If using USB cable, please make sure the V-BUS is disconnected2 Quick Start2.1 Main User InterfaceTo execute CFT, double click icon directly.Figure 2-1 Main interface of CFTThe major elements on the interface are described as follows:l 1. Title, menu and toolbar.l 2. Show test items and test resultl 3. Test state, PASS, FAIL, or Working, and the last failed item.l 4. Test information such as project, test equipment, SW version read from phonel 5. Start or stop button.l 6. Display statistics information such as pass rate, test timel 7. Show the detail description of the error message. ll If failure happens, you could find out the detail description error message here2.2 Quick OperationStep by stepStep 1 Setup the test environment according to Figure 1-1Step 2 Click CFT to execute application.Step 3 Click Port and Instrument settings button on the toolbar.Figure 2-2 Communication Port and Instruments SetupStep 4 Click System Setup button on the toolbar.Figure 2-3 System SetupStep 5 Click Start button to start testing.Figure 2-4 WorkingStep 6 PASSFigure 2-5 PASSThe test state area displays the current state of the test station.l Indicates the environment initialization fails. Please check the environment setup.l Indicates the environment initialization is OK. Press Start button to start testing.l Indicates CFT is waiting for mobile phone connectionl Indicates CFT is working.l Indicates test result is pass.l Indicates test result fails, error text is different according to different failed item.-End3 Operation Guide3.1 System SetupClick System Setup button on the toolbar to open the System Setup dialog.Figure 3-1 System Setup setting interfacel 1. System role selectionThere are three system roles supported:n CFT: Calibration and then Final Test.n FT (Final Test): Final Test Only.n Antenna Test: Antenna Test. Antenna Test is almost same with FT mode, only the test specification is larger than FT because during Antenna Test, DUT connects with instruments by antenna directly, not RF cable.l 2. Select the test project. If you have no idea about the selection of projects, please contact with SPRD FAE. Open configuration file of each project.l 3. Tuning and calibration items, including ADC, AFC, AGC, and APCl 4. Final test selection, Make Call and Final Test item selection Click button to configure options of HandOver feature.l 5. Misc. test item such as read SW version, Current Test Click button to select items of current test, current specification Click button to select another items.l 6. Advance settingClick Advance Setting button, the advance setting interface as shown as below.Figure 3-2 Advance settings interface1. Advance control settings:Stop if failed x times during final testing:It allows to stop testing when the system failed x times during final testing. Phone Notify to Start Test automatically: When CFT detects mobile phone is connected, CFT start to test automatically. (Recommend)Calibration pos X mode (Shut-down LCM):Final testing is tested in calibration post X mode which mode that LCM would be shut-down.Please contact with SPRD FAE to make sure that whether the S/W supports X mode or not.Shut down power supply after finish testing:After test is done, CFT would shut down power supply automatically. (Recommend)Repeat testing x times:Repeat testing for laboratory.2. Log system settings:Enable Instruments Gpib Log:Log GPIB command to a file, file name is Gpib.txt.
