人教版“新目标”八年级上Unit 2 How often do you exercise?Section A 1a-2d一、教学内容分析本单元以“How often do you exercise ?”为话题展开教学活动。首先学会恰当地使用频率副词及短语,再学会描述课余时间的活动安排和基本饮食结构。通过复习七年级学习过的动词短语,及本单元的听力练习,各种方式的口语交际活动和写作练习,使学生积极参与,合作,从而培养学生的综合语言运用能力。教材在本单元的开篇,即本课时,安排了关于谈论课余时间的各项活动,以及初步认识和使用频率副词,为进一步地使用频率副词及动词短语做语言知识上的准备。二、教学对象分析八年级学生经过小学和七年级的学习,已具有一定的英语综合能力,也积累了一定的英语词汇量,对空闲时间的活动已经知道如何正确表达。学生们对英语学习还保持着较浓厚的兴趣,因此在教学中我应加强知识的强化并培养学生的学习兴趣。同时,该年龄段的学生也很在乎他人的评价,所以在学习过程中我通过鼓励性评价等措施,在教学活动中尽量让他们参与到活动中来,创造更多的机会,鼓励他们多说英语,树立学好英语的自信心。通过学生间的合作学习,降低他们的学习难度,使他们体验到成功的喜悦,从而提高学生的综合语言技能。三、教学目标及教学重难点(一)知识目标1.能够掌握课标要求的四会词汇:housework, hardly, ever, once, twice, Internet, program; 恰当使用always, usually, often, sometimes, hardly ever, never等频率副词以及一些日常活动短语,例如:watch TV, go shopping, read books, exercise.2.掌握句型:-What do you do on weekends?-I usually watch TV.-Do you go shopping?-No, I never go shopping.-How often do you watch TV?-I watch TV every day.(二)能力目标1.学会描述课余时间的活动安排。2.学会谈论做事情的频率。(三)情感目标培养学生的逻辑表达能力,激发学生的积极思维,并使学生相互了解,增进友谊,加强人际交往,以形成良好的人际关系。(四)教学重点、难点分析1.教学重点:(1)掌握一些频度副词:always, usually, often, sometimes, hardly ever, never。(2)激发学生兴趣,运用所学知识谈论业余活动。(3)掌握以下重点句子:-What do you do on weekends?-I usually watch TV.-Do you go shopping?-No, I never go shopping.-How often do you watch TV?-I watch TV every day.2.教学难点:运用所学知识谈论业余活动。四、教学方法、过程及整合点1.教学方法(1)情景教学法Situational teaching method(2)听说法 Audio-visual teaching method (3)任务型教学法“Task-based” teaching method2.教学过程及整合点步骤目标与内容教学方法整合点与软件Step 1 导入Step 2 头脑风暴Step 3 听力练习Step 4对话练习Step 5 PK 一口气英语Step 6 小调查Step 7Homework导入新课,让学生了解本节学习内容,用频度副词和学过的短语描述业余活动。让学生在亲切的语境中学习新词汇。头脑风暴,通过学生自己动手写出平常的周末活动,复习更多的表达业余活动的词汇,从而为目标语言的输出奠定基础。通过听力练习使学生进一步学习和掌握频度副词和重点短语并感知本课的重点句型,培养学生自主归纳的学习能力和习惯。通过两人一组的对话练习,进一步巩固学生对频度副词,重点短语以及目标语言的应用能力。通过编对话练习,把所学目标语言运用到现实生活中,提高学生综合运用语言的能力。通过一口气英语练习,有效训练学生口语的流利性、规范性,“一口气英语”PK,有效调动学生参与的积极性。设置真实语境,学生在调查活动,把所学的频度副词、表示业余活动的短语、How often do you ?句型运用于现实生活中;在讨论交流中收集信息,合作完成书写任务,培养学生口语和书面表达能力;提高了学生综合运用语言的能力。通过分层作业形式使不同水平的学生都能根据本节课的学习内容完成作业,巩固本节课所学的语言目标,增强学生的成就感和自信心。1.Greet the class and then divide the class into four to six groups. Tell the students in this class, most of the tasks ,we will go in groups. If they answer the questions correctly, their group will get one score, and at the end of the class ,the group which get the most scores is the winner.2.Teacher introduces her own weekend activities. Show some pictures on the screen to help the students to understand the teacher better. Students listen and learn about the teachers activities in order to learn new words and review the frequency words“ alwaysoftenusuallysometimeshardly evernever.3.Teacher shows some pictures on the screen to help students learn the differences of the frequency words and new words. Students look at the pictures and try to learn them.Teacher asks the students to write down their own weekend activities in groups . Teacher can show some pictures on the screen to help the students to write down more phrases if they cant. Students write down weekend activities in groups, if they cant write down more, they can write down with the help of the pictures the teacher shows them. Teacher plays the audio twice or more times, students listen and finish the exercise. Then check the answers.1.Listen and write the activities next to the correct frequency words.2.Listen and write down how often Cheng Tao does these activities. Number the activities (1-5) you hear them.3.Listen and match the activities with how often Cheng Tao does them.1.Teacher shows some pictures on the screen, ask students to ask and answer in pairs. Samples:-What do you do on weekends?-I usually watch TV.-Do you go shopping?-No, I never go shopping.Students practice and show their conversations to the class.2.Teacher shows some pictures on the screen, ask students to make conversations like this:-What do you do on weekends?-I often exercise.-How often do you exercise?-I exercise every day.3.Teacher shows a chart on the screen, ask students to fill in the chart (2c), then make conversations.Samples:-How often do you watch TV?-I watch TV every day.-Whats your favorite program?-Animal World.-How often do you watch it?-Twice a week.Students practice in pairs. Then present their conversations to the class. Teacher asks the students to read the material as fast as possible.First : Slow .Then: Faster.At last: As fast as you can.I sometimes use the Internet on weekends.She hardly ever uses the Internet on weekends.They never use the Internet on weekends.I help with housework once a week.He helps with housework twice a week. She helps with housework three times a week.Ask students to PK among groups and congratulate to the winners.Students listen to the teacher and try to understand what the teacher said about how to do it, practice the material carefully and then have a PK among groups. 1.Teacher asks the students to work in groups to make a survey of “How often do you exercise?”, give the students a paper with a chart on it, at the same time teacher show the chart on the screen. Students make a survey of “How often do you exercise?” and fill in the chart. 2.Teacher asks the students to give a report in groups with the information they have got, tell the students how to report: In my group Tom exercises three times a week. Tina exercises twice a weekI exercise every day. Then each group choose a best one to report in class. Students use the information they have got to make a report and each group choose a best one to report in class.3.Teacher asks the students to report in class, and give congratulations to the winner.
