Unit 5 Do you want to watch a game show?Section A (1a - 2d) 公开课教案 中原街中学 聂萍一、教学内容分析 本单元的话题是讨论学生喜欢的电视节目及他们对不同电视节目的看法。这是学生所感兴趣的话题,先通过多种多样电视节目的呈现,让学生学会用英语表达电视节目。然后引导学生运用即将要学习的句型谈论对所呈现的电视节目的看法,如:What kind of TV shows do you like ? I like it. I don t mind it. I can t stand it.等等。 通过本节课的学习学生能运用所学的语言知识对影视作品进行简单的评价,培养学生运用英语语言知识进行交际对话的能力及书面表达能力。二、教学目标I. Knowledge goals(知识目标): 1. Master the following new words and phrases: sitcom, news, mind, stand, talk show, soup opera2. Grasp some pattern sentences: (1) What do you think of talk / sports / game shows? (2) I don t mind / like them. (3) I can t stand them.II. Teaching process and methods:1. Teaching process : Simply presentation- - Practice (Teamwork)-Production 2. Teaching methods: Cooperative group learning and autonomous learningII. Ability goals(能力目标): 1. Express TV shows in English; 2. Talk about likes or dislikes;.III. Emotional goals(情感目标): As a student, you should watch some educational TV shows that are good for your mind and body.三、教学重点及难点1. Make up conversations;2. Write articles about what they think of TV shows.四、教学策略选择与设计1、首先通过图片呈现,让学生学习电视节目的英语表达,并鼓励学生说出更多电视节目。2、句型训练是本节课的重头戏,该环节笔者将设计若干各电视节目画面,在教师的帮助下,通过学生的自主学习及小组合作式学习来实现重点句型的学习和掌握。其过程为:初步输入 进一步输入 初步输出 进一步输出。3、小组合作学习是本节课的主要学习形式,教师在大屏幕上呈现有关电视节目片断,各小组运用所学的句型进行对话训练,同组学生互帮互助,共同完成学习任务。鼓励每组派代表展示他们的任务完成情况,看哪个小组表现最出色。4、采用小组合作学习形式,完成教师布置的写作任务。运用所学的语言知识写一段有关电视节目的个人感受。各小组成员完成自己的初稿,小组互改,个人修订,最后每组派代表呈现自己的作品。教师评出优秀作品。5、在设计学习任务时,要照顾不同层次的学生尤其是学困生,让学困生也能参与到学习活动中来,享受获取成功的快乐。六、教学过程Step 1. Leading in Show some pictures of TV shows. Say: Please guess what kind of TV shows they are. Students volunteer to give their answers. Lead the students to list out some TV shows.(设计意图: Call students attention to this class.)Step 2. Presentation Show the TV shows in both English and Chinese on the screen:talk show 访谈节目 game show 游戏节 soap opera肥皂剧 talent show 才艺表演sports show 体育节目 cartoon show 动画节目sitcom 情景喜剧 news 新闻Say: Please read the TV shows.Cover the TV shows in English. Encourage students to say them in English according to the Chinese expressions. Praise the students who do very well.Students read the words and expressions. Students volunteer to read them. (设计意图:Help them to grasp more TV shows. )Step 3. Practice【Task1】 Match the TV shows with the pictures a-g. Students look at the pictures in 1a by themselves. Have a volunteer say his /her answers.【Task2】 Listen and number the shows 1-4 in the order. Students listen to the recording in 1b and number the shows.Students work in groups. They discuss and try to give answers.Students volunteer to give their answer.Go over the TV shows to help the students to grasp them.Step 4. Presentation1. Show five kinds of faces (1-5) and the English meanings(a-e). 1.a. not mind2.b. not like3.c. cant stand4. d. love5.e. like2. Encourage the class to guess the meanings of the faces and the English words. Match the faces with the English meanings.Students look at the faces and try to match them with the English meanings. 2Students volunteer to say more sentences in order to help the class to master some useful expressions.Step 5. Practice【Task3】Pair work. Show some pictures of TV shows with different faces. Encourage students to ask and answer in pairs.A: What do you think of shows? /How do you likeshows?B: I love / like / don t mind / don t like / cant stand them. A: What does he / she think of shows? /How does he / she like?B: He / She loves / likes / doesn t mind / doesnt like / cant stand them.(设计意图:Help the class to grasp the words and expressions. Improve their speaking ability.)Step 6. Production1. 【Task4】Free talk Talk with each other about what the students think of TV shows and the reasons. Encourage them to enlarge their topics.Offer them any help if they need.2.【Task5】Writing Write articles about what the students think of TV shows.(1) Let them write articles using the knowledge theyve grasped. Walk around and offer any help.(2) First students work in groups. They write articles by themselves. Then they correct each others articles. Have some volunteers show their work.Students from each group read their articles.(设计意图:Help the class to use the language knowledge that they have learnt. Improve their speaking ability.)Stage 7 Homework 1. Go over the TV shows .2. Read the conversation in 1c. Make up similar conversations.八、板书设计talk show 访谈节目 soap opera 肥皂剧 sports show 体育节目 sitcom 情景喜剧 game show 游戏节目talent show 才艺表演cartoon show 动画节目news 新闻1.a. not mind2.b. not like3.c. cant stand4. d. love5.e. like1. mind 介意, 在乎(接名词,代词或动名词)e.g. Would you mind opening the door?Do you mind my dog?2.(cant)stand(无法)忍受e.g. I cant stand soap operas.All of us cant stand waiting for the bus too long.九教学反思 本堂课为了激发学生们的好奇心,吸引同学们的注意力,我根据初中学生的认知特点,呈现了几个类型各异的电视画面,鼓励他们根据画面内容猜出电视节目,通过该环节的设计,引出本节课所要学习的知识点。为了让学生熟练掌握语言知识,我继续呈现电视节目画面,并提供所需句型,进行短对话操练。情景画面的反复呈现,学生对语言知识的感知逐步深入;之后安排听说训练帮助学生完成语言知识的不断内化,最终实现语言知识的输入。 在学生完成知识输入后,我设置了两项任务说与写的训练,学生根据自己的喜好,运用已学
