Main Words: an action movie, a documentary, a thriller, a comedy ,a romance,a cartoon ,a science fiction2.sentences: Do you want to go to a movie?Yes, I do. I want to go to an action movie.Does he/she want to see a thriller?No,he/she doesnt.He/She wants to see a cartoon.What kind of movies do you like? I like action movies. I like comedies / thrillers / documentariesTeaching Difficult points: 1.Learn to ask others preferences2. Singual nouns and plual nouns.Teaching aids:a computer,some movie posters,word cards,some sugarTeaching MethodsTask-based Teaching MethodTeaching procedures:ActivitiesThe purpose of the task-based activitiesTask1:Warming-up:Before class, get Ss to enjoy a movie song for about 2 minutes to warm them up.Interest the students Task 2:Lead-in 1.Use the movie reporter(光影星播客) to lead in the new lesson.Play some pieces of movie and teach the movie words:a comedy/an action movie/a thriller/a documentary/a cartoon/a romance/a science fiction.2.Sumary the kinds of movies and ask Ss read the words together.Use real TV program to arise the studentsinterests.and and students can easily understand the new words through watching the movies pieces.Task3:Play a game1,Show some movie posters and let Ss guess what kind of movies they are.Ask the students to put the word cards on the posters in ten seconds.Consolidate wordsTask 4:Match the wordsFinish 1a,match the posters with the words.
