Help Ss make a proper plan to spend weekend. 3.encourage the students to develop good habits.学情分析1. The topic of Unit 12 is about simple past tense and how to talk about past events using simple past tense.It needs students to describe the events happened in last weekend. 2.As the students in Grade 7,they think English is interesting but difficult. They hope to be spoken highly of by others. So the teacher should make them take part in the teaching activities as much as possible and have more chances to speak English. That will help them to get the sense of success by work with partners. 备注教学重点1.Master the key words and sentences.2. Learn to talk about the events happened in last weekend.3. (S2: I visited my grandmother.T:How was your last weekend?S:It was great.T:What did you do last weekend?S1:I milked the cows.T :What did you do last weekend?)Step 2. Presentation Work on 1a. Match the activities with the pictures.a-f. After a few minutes, check the answers.Step3. Listening. Work on 1b,2a,2b. Play the recording for the first time and students only listen. play the recording again and fill in the blanks. this time, ask the students to underline the words they hear. point out the sample answer. Then check the answers. Step 4. Pair work. Work on 1c, 2b. Role-play the conversation. Student A is Lucy, Sb ask Lucy about her weekend. (A: What did you do last weekend? B: On Saturday morning, I played badminton. A: who visited her grandpa? B: Becky did. )Step5 Role- play Work on 2d. 1.Learn the new words. Look at the conversation in 2d. then students read the dialogue by themselves and find out the answers to these questions:(a. How was Lisas weekend? b. Where did Lisa work as a guide? c. what did Lisa do there? d. what did Paul do on his weekend?) 2. Underline some language points difficult to understand at the same time. Then lead the Ss to read, and explain those difficult points. 3. put Ss into pairs to practice role-playing the conversation. Give enough time to do it. Finally invite two pairs to act out for the whole class, correct pronunciation and intonation mistakes if any.Step6. SummaryIn this period, we led into the new class through a free talk and stimulated Ss interest. Then we learned some new words and expressions through the picture.
