Teaching procedures:Step One: Warm-up1. Free talk with Ss with some oral English.2. Play a guessing game. Have Ss guess which season it is according to the description on the screen. Which season is it? Its sunny and hot. Its sunny and warm. Its windy and cold. Its windy and cool.3. Revise the words and the dialog in the last lesson. Have Ss practice in pairs.- Which season do you like best?-I like summer / autumn / spring / winter best.Step Two: PresentationShow a picture of spring on the screen. Have Ss look carefully and try to say something about it. Whats in the picture? What are they doing?Present some phrases in the picture. Such as “fly kites, go on a picnic, plant trees”. Have Ss know about them and try to use them freely with sentences. -Why do you like spring? -Because I can go on a picnic.Practice the sentence in pairs.Then present the other phrases in the same way. Spring: fly kites, go on a picnic, plant trees Summer: go swimming Autumn: fly kites, pick apples Winter: make a snowman, play in the snowStep Three: Practice Practice the key sentences in pairs. -Which season do you like best? -I like best. -Why do you like ? -Because I can Lets find outShow a table on the screen and have Ss make a survey about their friendsfavourite seasons and the reason.
