Students have learned about two reading strategies: skimming and scanning2. Students have learned present perfect tense. Teaching goals:Language goals1. Students can catch the exact meaning of some key words from context:changes , shame, crayon, regard, count, developments and so on(学生能从语境中体会重点词语的意思);2. Students can find how hometowns have changed through the present perfect tense from this passage.(学生能从本文中通过现在完成时的句子找到家乡的变化);3. Students can identify facts and opinions through the article style.(学生能通过文体的特征来判断哪些句子是事实,哪些是观点)。Understand-ing level4. Students are able to infer the main topic according to the photos which are shown. (学生通过所给出的图片推测文章的主题)。5. Students are able to find correct the answers to questions after reading the passage and comprehend the paragraph one by one by using different reading strategies (skimming and scanning). 6. Students are able to catch some detailed information.Emotional aims7.
