Knowledge ObjectsFunctions:Learn to talk about past events and tell a story.Expressions: passage, pupil, bright, playground, bell,completely, silence, recently, date, tower, realize, truth, terrorist, in silence, take down, remember doing sth, be surprised to do sth, tell the truth, have trouble doing sth, Structure:People often remember what they were doing when they heard the news of important events in history.We were eating dinner is the kitchen when we heard the news on the radio.Even the datehas meaning to most Americans.2. Ability ObjectsHelp students learn how to understand a text and find the main ideas of the whole text and each paragraph through its title and first sentence in each paragraph.Be able to talk about what you were doing at a certain time in the past.3. Moral ObjectsEducate students to care about important events and love their lives.Lead our students to know the importance of peace and the cruelty of war. Initiate people to love peace , and refuse the war.2、 学情分析教学内容分析: 这一课时是人教版新目标(2011)八年级下第五单元的Section B2a-2e. Section B部分进一步加深和巩固本单元的话题内容,即讲述一系列发生在过去某一时间的事情。2a-2e是阅读教学板块。阅读文章以重大的突发事件为背景,通过人们的回忆讲述过去正在发生的事。主要内容如下:1 通过看插图和标题预测文章的内容。2要求学生进一步掌握英语阅读的策略。(即快速阅读,略读,和细读去进一步理解文章,完成文章要求)3 通过文章的学习,要让学生们知道战争的残酷和和平的重要性,从而珍爱和平,拒绝战争。学生情况分析: 本课的授课对象是四川省乐至中学初中八下的学生,班级共54人、分为9个大组。本班学生有着良好的学习习惯,浓厚的英语兴趣,喜欢合作、竞争、探究学习。但初二学生在对英语阅读技巧方面,阅读内容拓展方面都有待提高。另外学生上课主动发言的热情不够高,学生不够自信。通过这堂课,希望让学生提高自信,更好地学好英语。3、 教学重点难点:1Teaching Key PointsEnable students to understand the passage about the important event through the title and the topic sentences in each paragraph.2Teaching Difficult PointsLearn to retell about past events using structure.4、 教学过程:Warming-up1. Daily greetings2. Look through the Objectives3. Free Talk: show a picture of Dr.King-What do you know about him?设计意图:1.师生开课前互动交流,调节气氛,预热课堂。 2.对教学目标的浏览,有助于学生在本节课有的放矢。 3.通过对马丁路德金的谈论来引入本文阅读主要内容。Pre-reading1. Let students enjoy the video-I Have a Dream 2. Learn the cultural background of American black people.3. Learn the history and facts of World Trade Center.4. Use two pictures to lead these things happened.设计意图:1.多媒体视频的引入可以激发学生进一步学习的兴趣。 2&3.对美国黑人和世界贸易中心文化背景的介绍有助于学习进一步理解这两个事件的重要性和历史性。 4.利用马丁死亡和世界贸易中心的倒塌图片引入这两个事件的惨烈。While-reading:1. Present the pyramids of reading skills to get your tasks carefully.2. Scanning-Scan the passage and just find the dates.Also we can know the two events in the passage.3. Skimming-Read the title and the first sentences of each paragraph , skim for the main idea and match them.4. Careful-reading:Read each paragraph and finish the tasks of 2c.Especially let students learn how to tell a difference among True False and the information not given.5. Paraphrase: Finish the 2d-use the sentence in the passage to replace the similar sentence .设计意图:1.用金子塔状形式来呈现阅读不同阶段,有助于学生阅读能力的提高。 2.通过扫读的模式,即明确问题中的关键词在文中迅速找准位置并理解。 3.通过快速浏览的方式对标题和每段的第一句有初步的认识与了解,方便我们确定每段的大致中心意思完成连线题。 4.通过仔细阅读的方式,先阅读2c中的问题在仔细阅读文章中相关细节从而确定正误,特别注意通过编制特殊例句的形式让学生懂得信息未给出所代表的含义 5.通过意译的模式,让学生先对2d的句子进行翻译,然后再在文章进行寻找,有助于学生对文章中句子的理解。Post-readingDiscussion1:Show three pictures of War.Let students know the cruelty of War.Discussion2:Show two pictures of Peace.Initiate students to love the peace , and refuse the war.设计意图:课后讨论环节是本堂课最精彩的部分之一。通过学生对战争和和平图片的讨论,让大多数都可以认识到和平的重要性,从而达到本堂课的情感教学目标。Sum-upSum up what we have learned from the article and know the main idea.设计意图:课后总结阅读主要思想是英语阅读中一种重要的阅读方式,通过引导让学生懂得。Homework1.Find more information about the two famous events.2.Finish the 2a-2e in your exercise book设计意图:课后作业的布置,可以加深学生对所学内容的掌握与理解,同时在练习中也可以为下节课知识点的讲解做铺垫。【学习目标】1. 知识技能目标掌握并灵活运用本课的重点词汇passage pupil c
