In our life, everybody has hobbies. I can play basketball.( T can make a playing basketball gesture.) What can you do? S1: I can play computer game. T(says to S1): Please show it to us.( Then S1 shows us how to play computer game.) T (says to S2): What can you do? S2: I can play basketball. T(says to S2) : Please show it to us. (Then S2 shows us how to play basketball.)After two Ss answer, T makes Ss do a chain drill in every line just like as following.A: I can watch TV. What can you do?B: I can play computer game. What can you do?C: I can play basketball. What can you do?D: I can sing. What can you do? Step 3 Presentation T says to Ss : Today ,well meet some people, do you know what they can. In the course, some people such as ZhouJielun are presented. T asks, Ss answer. T: Whats his name? Ss: Hes ZhouJielun. T: What can he do? Ss: He can play the guitar. (Ss are asked to answer them in English, if they dont know this instrument, T teaches this word. If someone knows it, ask that student to teach it.) T presentates some pictures that include the new words from 1a to 1c that makes Ss sure that they can know their Chinese and teach Ss to pronounce them.After Ss grasp the struction of I can do something, T may do a gesture that is how to play the guitar and let Ss guess what T can do with Can you. S1:Can you play volleyball? T: No, I cant. S2: Can you play the guitar? T: Yes,I can. Step 4 Match the words with the people Ss finish 1a and T tells Ss some grammars: play球棋牌 play the乐器( If possible, some flashes will be used to present these phrases. And their English expressions also are beside the oppropriate pictures.)Step 5 Listen Ss first observe the differences between the two ones which no numbers in the blanks in front of the dialogues. Ss listen to the tape and write the numbers in the blanks.Step 6 Read and act Ss in a group read the dialogues in 1b. See which group can act the three dialogues without books. This step demands that Ss have the ability that finishes some tasks in an operating group. Ss have a competition-which group finishes the task first.Step 7 Talents Show T: There is a stage just like Xing Guang Da Dao in CCTV3 in our class?
