Project planning book 1.1Project NameThe planning and production of GE Suzhou TV 1.2Project backgroundGE Aviation mainly produces aircraft parts and has about 400 employees; office staff only accounts for less than a quarter, most are workshop staff. Also most of them do not often use computer on their daily work and most information is communicated by supervisors verbally or by broadcasting notification, which causes bad working information flow and low working efficiency. On the other hand, GE aviation not only needs a communication platform, but also needs a publicity platform. Suzhou GE has changed company name for several times, and companys culture and value has also been changed and continually improved. Although Suzhou GE is still a young enterprise under worldwide GE environment, but in the face of fierce competition, GE needs to develop an independent and characteristic corporate image, which means Suzhou GE should have an its own enterprise team to make companys culture deeply rooted in the hearts of employees. GETV is a the platform that can make more workshop staff and office staff know the enterprise culture, vision, value clearly and have a sense of belongings. 1.3Project purposeFor GE: GETV is a new way to propaganda enterprise latest information and enterprise culture. It is a part of corporate culture, and it can make company image more brilliant and make more employees understand corporate culture. For GE employees: Employees can know the corporate latest news in a dynamic more convenient and dynamic way. At the same time, GETV can enhance employees belonging sense and cohesion sense by employees participation.For GETV planner: The planning and production of GETV is a new project that we never have on campus, and it is a big challenge for us. However, it is also a valuable experience. Time deficiencyWhen we carry out this project, we also need to work and prepare for all kinds of examinations at the same time, which means we are lack of time for project, so we need to make a detailed plan and manage our time reasonably.1.7.2. Communication and coordination problemThere may be some problems when we communicate with GE employees, because the information is really confidential. So we have difficulties in getting the related information that we need. In addition, we need GE employees support when we make questionnaire and interviews. Therefore we need to communicate with the relevant departments managers or ask for help from our tutors.1.7.3. People arrangement Due to the limited human recourse, it is difficult to collect and analyze so many materials we should make good allocation and cooperation, so that we can make full use of limited resources. 1.8Matters needing attentiona. Workshop staffs account for 60%70%, and they often spend their most time on the production line, and have few time to know the latest news of GE since they have to access to intranet. . They often know the information from their supervisors or colleagues verbal notice. Therefore, company information cant spread timely. on the other hand, Suzhou GE Aviation is a young enterprise who needs more channels to convey its culture, value, vision and company image. Publicity of this new projectNecessity: To ensure this project to be carried out successfully, we must make sure that all the participants have a deep understanding of this GE Suzhou TV. So the early-period publicity is very important.Publicity means:Written: make newsletters or poster to tell employees GE Suzhou TV, including its features aims and engagement way.Verbal: convey the policy to staffs from top to down and let supervisors announce the concept of GE Suzhou TV on the department meeting.Advertisement: to arrange some GETV ads in the first GE Suzhou TV show, 2.4.2. News material collection a. Collection way: to collect the news from different departments: Each department is required to recommend 2 or 3 pieces of department news and then 3 or 5 news will be chosen b. Before video taking, we need coordinate the time of director, cameraman and host and enhance video taking efficiency and effect. During video taking, never give host pressure and allow 1or 2time interrupting, since there is a postproduction phase for editing. However, photographer needs to control well and at the same time use projector to give host some hint. When taking video, we should pay attention to light, rhythm and the stability of video; in addition, the host should dress properly. We need check broadcast situation after GE Suzhou TV has been broadcast. In case failure is found, we need to maintain it timely; at the same time, make record and accounts plays rate and failure rate.2.7Activity Follow-up Make questionnaire to investigate whether GE Suzhou TV has reached expected effect after broadcast. Collect the employees opinions after they watch GE Suzhou TV. Analyze the feedback information and put forward the suggestions 3. Implementation process of GE (Suzhou) TV3.1 The planning stage:3.1.1 GE (Suzhou) TV planning stage Make a proposal to the superiors Write the planning book and present a PPT to convince supervisors. Arrange different tasks to involved staff after getting the approval, including role players for news collector, copywriter, auditor, photographers, editors, the announcer. Arrange the task of editing, reviewing, photography and video synthesis etc. Careful selection of music, head leader and tail leader Shooting video, video synthesis and release of the video.3.1.2 Motivation ways:In order to inspire the staff to participate actively in this project, it is designed to give the participants some incentives, such as small gifts or supermarket coupons. However, the participants should obey the rules and regulations which was set in advance and accomplish their tasks successfully. 3.1.3 Time schedule of GE (Suzhou) TVOur project is carried out according to the timetable in the planning stageMonday: mews reporter is in charge of providing one-sentence newsTuesday: Text editor is in charge of providing the overall text draft (Chinese and English) and text reviewer is in charge of the finalized newsWednesday: Recording video by broadcast group and cameramanThursday: TV editor is in charge of graft show.Friday: TV editor finalized the video and broadcast is on. 3.1.4 Broadcast Locations of GE TVThe recorded TV show will be mainly broadcast in the canteen and the reception hall so that the working staff will have the chance to know the latest development of the company when they are dining. The operators who usually spend their time in the workshop and have no access to intranet can be kept informed better. 3.2 The implementation phase Our group members Sun Xiaoying and Ju dandan had the honor to be the hostess. We were nervous and excited at the very beginning for it was the first time we would be taken video as news reporter. However, we found it was not as difficult as we supposed. The cameraman just told us to keep smiling and sit upright. As long as we keep calm and slow down our speed, we would give a better performance. Finally we were quite satisfied with our recorded video. The new program in our GE TV is called employee voice. GE TV cameraman will visit the workshop or office occasionally and interview employees spontaneously, so that the staff can have the platform to show ideas and opinion on the companys regulations. The good suggestion from the interviewed staff will be posted in the corridor. This new program makes the GE TV more vivid and colorful.4. GE TV investigation report 4.1 Investigation time: April 28, 2013 In October 2012, our group decides to make GE TV Planning and Production as our Graduation Project topic. With the help of the GE staff this project has been carried out smoothly.
