Ss: Good morning.Stage 2 Review Step 1 Check students preview by showing the new words quickly. Students shout out the words they see. They will get a card (with key words for retelling) . T: If you know the words, stand up and shout them out. If you are right, you will get a card from the group leader. Step 2 Check the spelling of the words by letting ss finish the blanks. T: Now, lets finish the exercise on your paper. Finished? Lets check answers. Step 3 Ss guess the names of the stories. Journey to the West, Hou Yi Shoots the Suns, Yu Gong Moves a Mountain, Nu Wa Repairs the Sky. The Emperors New Clothes. T: Now, keep on guessing. Whats the name of the story? Stage 3 Pre-listening: Predict Step 1 Guess why the emperor is only wearing an underwear. T: According to the title, guess what the emperor loves. Ss: He loves clothes. T: What is he wearing? Ss: Underwear. T: He loves clothes, but why is he only wearing underwear? Step 2 Guess the order of the story. T: Look at the pictures carefully, guess how the story develops (发展). What do you think is the order?Stage 4 While-listening Step 1 Listen and number the pictures. T: Now, lets listen and check your prediction. Step 2 1c. Listen and fill in the blanks one picture by one picture. T: In Picture 1, what happened? Now, lets listen and fill in the blanks. Are you ready? T: Now Picture 2, what happened next? T: Picture 3, then what happened? T: Picture 4, what do you think happened? T: Picture 5, now lets listen to the ending of the story.Stage 5 Post-listening Step 1 Ss listen to the tape and imitate. Then ss read in pairs. T: Now, listen and imitate. Pay attention to your tone. T: Role-play the conversation. Step 2 1d Ss retell the story in groups using the words on the cards they get.
