Greeting and communicating with students in English.3 Review the numbers one through twenty in a class drill .4. Write the word thirty on the board .Say the numbet aloud and havethe children repeat it .5. Repeat the procedure for the numbets .Step 2. Talk together1. Talking with Ss in English:Turn to page 18, introduce the guessing game: one indicates a time using his/her arms as clocks hand ,The other guess the time and its matching activities .1. Point to the speech bubbles and have the children read the sentences.Then modle the sentences and have the children repeat .3. Use the times and activities to play the game .4 Divid the class into groups and play the game .Step 3. Listen and match1. Turn to page 18,have the children point to the first picture and ask what they can see in the picture and what they are doing .2. Repeat the procedure for the other pictures.3. Point to the first clock and ask , What tme is it? Elicit the answerfrom the children .Repeat with theother clocks .4. Listen and match the pictures with the clocks .5. .Play the first sentence, and have the childrem point to the picture and the clock that shows the matching time .6. Repeat this procedure for the other sentences.7. Play the tape again ,draw a line between the picture and its matching time .8. Review the answers in a class drill .Step 4. Read and check1. Turn to page 19 , point to the picture and say “This is Lucy.” Were going toread about Lucys busy day .2. Now point to the picture of the diary ,Say , “This is Lucys diary .3. Point to the first entry . “9:15 Visit the doctor .” Read the words aloud . 4. Repeat the procedure with the other entries .5 . Ask the children if the sentence is true or false6. Repeat this procedure for the other sentences.Work in pairs ,ask and answer using the sentences :Step5 Set homework1. Tell the time in English to their family members .Step 6.
