vt.讨厌;不喜欢(1)hate后接不定式通常表示一次性的行为;接动名词表示经常性的行为。(2)hate不接从句作宾语,如果需要从句作宾语,必须用形式宾语it,此时it为虚词,无具体意义,指一种笼统的情况。语境助记(1)I hate to see you unhappy.我讨厌见你不高兴。(2)Paul hates having pictures taken.保罗不喜欢照相。(3)I hate 尊敬某人为show/have respect for sb尊敬某人win ones respect 赢得尊重in respect of 涉及,关于,就.来说with respect 尊敬地重点短语1. make sure确定,确信,查明,弄清楚make sure of sth/ that确认,查明,弄清楚be sure of/ about/be sure that确信,对有把握be sure to do sth 一定会做某事for sure 肯定地,确实地小贴士(1)sure通常不用于有形式主语或形式宾语的句子中,这种情况下一般用certain。(2)be sure of表示主语感到“有把握,确信”,be sure to表示主语“一定,必然会”,指别人的看法。It is certain that he will come to your help.他肯定会来帮助你的。(此处不能用su、He (adj.)单数可数名词thatclausesuch (adj.)复数名词/不可数名词thatclause语境助记(1)It is so dark that I dare not go out alone.外面太黑以致于我不敢独自出去。(2)He ran so fast that I couldnt catch up with him.他跑得如此快以致于我跟不上他。2.but I think that Ill do well in the exam with Mrs.Chen teaching me.但我想,有陈老师教我,我一定会考好的。归纳拓展with Mrs.Chen teaching me是“with宾语宾补”的结构,通常表示原因、伴随或方式。with宾语宾补(adj/adv, doing ,done, to do)语境助记(1)The weather was even colder with the wind blowing.因为有风,天气更冷了。(2)With all the work finished,they hurried back home for lunch.所有的工作都做完了,他们匆忙赶回家吃午饭。(3)With many things to deal with,I have to stop listening to the light
