They also have learned some adjectives to describe people before, such as funny, clever, hard-working and so on, which will enable them to speak confidently in the pre-reading stage. By this lesson the teacher hopes students can pronounce the new words by imitating others, and the pronunciation should be correct and they can be fluent in oral communication, the tones should be natural through the pair work about their new teachers. Also, students can read, recognize and retell the meaning of the new words correctly through the teachers guidance and their own oral practice about their new teachers character and use these proper words to predict the passage.Secondly, students language bases are of different levels: some have learned English for more than six years so they have a good foundation in English and can use English well while some are poor at English, they can not remember and write simple words, let alone sentence structures. However, almost all the students in this class have a strong appetite to speak English and they are very active in English classes. So, in this lesson, the teacher pays attention to students different levels and has designed various activities which can cater for most students. The cooperative and autonomous learning methods can also narrow the gap and help every student get involved in the tasks.Thirdly, students at the ages of 16 and 17 have already had a lot of reading and life experience, so they can combine what they have read and experienced in daily life with their foreign language learning, which will make their foreign language learning more easily and more related to their daily life. In this case, CLT and TBLT which combine doing with learning are excellent methods for junior students teaching.Fourthly, teenagers of these ages are at very significant point of moral value development. Their values are forming rapidly. However, their fast-forming values are usually influenced by their fast-changing physical and psychological conditions, thus they are always doubtful about many values, so they need some elder people to guide them. Teachers are their important guiders. This is why moral learning is so significant for them. In his lesson, the topic about new teachers provides them with good opportunity to understand and respect teachers more. Through the teachers carefully designed tasks, the students can not only train their reading and speaking skills but also closer their relationship with their teachers.评论(0) 4教材分析For new students who have just entered high school, the new teachers, new classmate and new school are very attractive topics to study. In the first module“My First Day at Senior High” the students have discussed some campus experience, which is helpful to continue their interest in this related topic. In our daily conversations, the students also often need to introduce a new teacher to a friend in Chinese, so this module My New Teachers is a useful and fascinating topic in students daily lives. Besides, the teacher can make examples by describing themselves and other teachers which can easily arouse students interests. This class is a reading class, so the teacher selected the passage provided by the textbook as the reading material of period one.This part is the foundation of module 2, which focuses on the adjective learning and warming-up. The teachers aims of this period are to help students to remember some new words and the basic sentence structures of this unit. The teacher will set series of activities to achieve the objectives.Of course, as a reading class, the reading ability training is the focal point as well as a difficult point. However, with the teachers delicate design, the students reading skills such as prediction, skimming and scanning will be trained.Besides these topic, function, language knowledge and language skills, another important clue the reading material wants to provide us is the appreciation, respect and love for our teachers, which is a very crucial Chinese traditional moral value.评论(0) 5教法分析The whole class follows the three-stage framework that is pre-stage, while-stage and post-stage. According to the National English Curriculum Standards (experimental draft), the content of the textbook, and the language level of the students, the teacher mainly adopts TBLT (task-based language teaching)and CLT ( communicative language teaching) in the class. In addition, the Audio-lingual Method has been adopted as complement.评论(0) 6学法分析The new English curriculum strives to accomplish far more than just help students learn English. At one level, teaching English should involve helping students to develop a certain level of comprehensive language competence and the ability to use language for real communication, master certain basic language knowledge and master listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. However, at another level the curriculum should also serve students all-round development, proving them with opportunities to strengthen their interests in studying English, grow in self-discipline, perseverance and self-confidence and improve their cooperative and thinking abilities.First, cooperative learning,has many advantages in students language learning. For example, it can offer every student more chance to learn by themselves, thus fulfill the aim of helping students cultivate their self-directed learning ability in the English Curriculum Standards; it can help students learn to communicate and cooperate with others, and be more self-confident. For this lesson, the teacher creates atmosphere for students cooperative learning by pair work. The students practice conversations with partner and check the answers of listening with their partner. During the process, they can enjoy cooperating with others.Second, autonomous learning is a way that will benefit the students a lot in their future education. The teacher, who is a guider, applies the students-centered theory to create an environment for students to learn by themselves. During the whole class, the teacher is a guider. The teacher together with the students will present new words with some old words. At the same time, the students will come up with some new words they have learned outside of the class.3) Reading skill training (20 minutes)The teacher will mainly train students prediction ability through some pictures. The teacher will show them 3 pictures form the textbook to ask them to use the adjectives they learned to describe them. Then they will be asked to read through the passage for the first time to check if their prediction is right.Next, the students will summarize the main idea of each paragrap
