Talk about the universe freely.Teaching materials: tape recorder, pictures, cards .Teaching steps :Step 1 Warm-up/ ReviewDaily greeting:T: Good morning ,class. Nice to see you again.”Ss: Good morning , Miss Chen . Nice to see you ,too.”1.Sing this song: Follow Me.2.Touch and say. Touch your knees/eyes/hands/legs/ears/nose, etc.Step 2 Learn to say1.Show turn ,right, left, down, running, jumping, swimming, playing football, playing basketball, playing pingpong . etc . cards to the Ss, present them and let the Ss listen and repeat.2.Present this words and sentences in TPR teaching method.Right Turn right.Left Turn left.Up and down. Jump up and down.3.Let the Ss listen to the tape and repeat.4.Groups work. Play TPR game. “Turn right. Turn left. Jump up and down”. Little PE teacher .Step 3 Practice 1.Learn to sing this song: Follow Me.2.Sing this song: Follow Me in groups/class/boys and girls/one by one.3.Ask some Ss to sing the song in the front of the class. One mimes the leader, the others mime team members. Step 4 Listen and point 1.Let the Ss talk about what sport they like best? They can say in English or in Chinese . Help the Ss say the sports in English. 2.Present the new words and phrases: running, jumping, swimming, playing football, playing basketball, playing pingpong etc. Let the Ss listen and repeat.3. See the VCD, present the sentence: What are they doing? They are swimming4. Listen to the tape & look at the English books and point to the pictures.5. Listen to the tape again & repeat.6.
