Base your composition on the outline (given in Chinese) below.1. 有人认为朋友犯错后不应指出,否则会影响朋友关系。2. 也有人认为朋友犯错后应立即指出以防止更多的错误。3. 你的看法Should We Tell Friends the Mistakes They Make?_Friends mean a lot to us in our daily life. They share the joy of our success; they stand by our side when were upset; they spare no effort to help us when were in trouble. All of these make friends vital in our life. However, we often face the dilemma of whether we should tell friends the mistakes they make. Some hold the view that we should just let them go and not take the risk of destroying the friendship while others believe that we should tell them to prevent further mistakes. With all aspects carefully considered, I would rather take the latter view. Some people hold it is quite reasonable to avoid telling the truth to friends. They insist that we should show care and concern about our friends feelings and never try to hurt or upset them. Telling the truth may enrage friends and even destroy the friendship. This seems to be plausible. However, what they do actually connives at the mistake the friends make. Without being informed, our friends will never know they just make a mistake and will probably continue to make it again and again. This can certainly do harm to the friendship. Telling our friends the truth is a kind of responsibility that we should take.We therefore should not hide the fact from our friend, but more attention should be paid to the way we express it. There are many ways to convey the same thing, some of which may lead to an agreement while others can cause trouble for friendship. Usually, we should avoid telling the truth directly but try to express it more implicitly and in a euphemistic way. For instance, a little cough reminds to stop smoking in dormitory. With your feelings expressed, I think a true friend is willing to take your advice and make some changes. In conclusion, I agree with the point that we should let our friends know theyre making a mistake and we should try to express it in a gentle way.Listening ComprehensionListen to 8 short conversations. Base your composition on the outline (given in Chinese) below.1. 如今在青少年中存在早恋问题。2. 但是家长认为他们根本不知爱为何物。3. 我认为Can Teenagers Really Be in Love?_Can Teenagers Really Be In Love? This is a constant battle between parents and teens. Any teen who has had a boyfriend or girlfriend can admit to the fact that they said I love you to someone they dated in high school. However, parents usually hold the belief that teenagers cant be in love. Love is for adults; it is something beyond the understanding of teenagers. Is it really possible for teens to be in love? My answer is yes, but only if they really understand what they feel and know how to look at it the right way. If a teenager has a boyfriend or girlfriend whom he or she trusts and cares for unconditionally, he or she is truly in love. There is also another type of love: it is when you know that you will always care for a person and desire the highest good for him or her, even if he or she is not with you. On the contrary, if circumstances change and you no longer feel positive towards the person, youll probably not love him or her any longer.Listening ComprehensionListen to a long conversation. When most people can barely feed themselves, the increasing income and material progress do make people happier. But when most people are enjoying unparalleled prosperity and material comfort, extra income can no longer make them feel any happier. In many western countries where most people are well off, they suffer from depression and other problems. They are not happier than the people in poorer countries. The truth is that money or material things are not as important as other experiences that we value. They may be our relationships with family, with friends and in the community; they may be the peace of mind or a positive attitude in life as well. The increasing number of overweight and obese children has sounded a warning alarm for parents, schools and society.A variety of surveys show that the principal causes of obesity among children are a sedentary lifestyle and fatty foods. Most children like fast foods like KFC. Many of them eat the fatty foods regularly. Whats worse is that after meals they seldom exercise because they just work on the homework. There is little time for them to exercise. A heavy study load and the prevalence of TV, computers and family can all result in less outdoor activities for children. If parents want their children to keep fit, they should provide their children with a healthy diet. They should restrict their childrens consumption of animal products and make sure their children can have at least one hour of physical exercise every day.Listening ComprehensionListen to 8 short conversations.
