However, in the event of a nuclear plant accident, it potentially poses an extreme danger to the citys inhabitants. You are the governor of the city required to make the decision on whether to go nuclear or not. What factors would you consider in your decision? Explain your reasoning. 2. The process of nuclear power generation releases relatively low amount of the compounds found in greenhouse gases comparison with power generated from other energy resources. Particularly coal and oil. It also has a large power generating capacity relative to the materials consumed. Nuclear power is therefore an ideal source of power. As a result of the regulatory measures imposed on ageing nuclear plants by governments, owing to the risk to the population in the event of a nuclear accident, they are often required to retire them earlier than their designed lifespan. However, as nuclear plants provide carbon-free energy, the premature shutdowns often result in adverse effects on climate change, as they are replaced by coal or oil energy sources. Developing countries have in recent years started taking the lead in generating the pollution that results in global warming. This is because their rapid growth economies have been built on energy-intensive heavy industries, which were mostly found in developed countries in the last century. Do you believe that they should the blame for global warming? How do you propose they should manage the current situation? 2. Global warming poses an ever-increasing threat to our planet as governments fail to take the steps necessary to sufficiently address the situation in order to contain this threat. Global warming is a problem that is increasingly haunting human beings. Some people are suggests that instead of trying to prevent it, we should just find a way of living with it. Artificial intelligence is the development of computer systems to perform tasks, usually or previously requiring human intelligence. Some concerns have been raised as to where this development is leading us when considering the noticeable effects on employment in certain categories of work. What are currently its main applications as it affects our daily lives and how is it influencing the way we live now and in the near future? 2. The application and widespread use of artificial intelligence is developing rapidly. Some people have postulated that this development will ultimately result in its surpassing of human intelligence which is already happening in many fields and lead to a revolution in human affairs. These people believe therefore that we should control or regulate its development. Are you to a certain extent in agreement with this viewpoint or not? Explain you own position in this regard. 3. Artificial intelligence surpasses that of human intelligence in many domains. It has been programmed to master a variety of games, such as chess and poker, winning against its champion human counterparts. It has long ago supplanted humans in activities involving calculations, and is dominating manufacturing processes more and more in the form of robots. Do you have any concerns that the further development of artificial intelligence will result in its replacing human intelligence and driving human out of many of their current work opportunities in the near future? Food products, traders in food products as well as the Chinese government have variously been blamed for the occurrence of this crisis. List a few major applications of fintech in our daily lives and how there are able to influence the way we live. 2. The recent development of fintech cellular applications enabling mobile payment has been widely embraced for use in our daily lives. Analysts in the finance and banking sectors of the economy have predicted that this has signaled the end of the traditional wallet, which represents the physical transfer of money.
